At Future Cities Show 2017
The First Edition of the Future Cities Show 2017 took place on the 2nd to the 4th of April 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE.
The Show had more than 19000+ visitors attending from over 141 countries. It featured more than 30 Exhibitors from various countries in the Economic, Environmental & Social Zones wherein latest technologies were showcased such as 3D Printers, IOT, Drones, Mobility, Virtual Reality Application, Interactive Recycle Bin, Smart Homes, Energy-Saving Solutions, Innovative Solar Trapping Technol-ogies, Waste Management Solutions and Wastewater Treatment.
The FCS also had 3 seminars running parallel in each zone on all 3 days, focusing on Sustainability, Innovation and Happiness. The Seminars featured more than 45 speakers, speaking on latest trends and innovations and how these innovations are going to change the world.

Environmental Zone focused on sustainability, and this term has gained relevance in the recent years, and this accounts for ‘what can be done now to ensure that the future generations can see the present that we live in’. The Environmental Zone this year showcased 12 companies which highlighted the latest Solar Technologies, Eco-Friendly Geopolymer Cement, Waste Management, Water Management & Energy-Saving Solutions.
We are currently living in a world of constant change; innovation is the key mantra for all industries. The Economic Zone focused on innovation, and now each and every industry is adopting innovation into their work culture for growth and sustainable development. The Economic Zone showcased 6 companies which highlighted usage of Drones, Virtual Reality, 3D Printing, Solar Roads, Mobility & IOT.
Governments across the world are adopting measures to ensure public wellbeing by encouraging innovation in Healthcare, Education, Public Security and Nutrition. The Social Zone featured latest Healthcare Technologies, VR in Education & Smart Home Solutions.

The establishment of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme comes as a coronation to the wise policy adopted by the Late His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, made a realty by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, which laid the foundations ensuring the provision of adequate and decent housing for local families of different economic and social levels, taking into account the priority for special cases, such as, the orphans, widows, aged people and people with special needs.
