Introduction There are some measures for to turn any school on an eco-friendly school. Those are included into this different aspects of the ecology:

• The energetic efficiency• Saving water

• Greener transport• To have fresh food

Insulate with mineral wool • The mineral wool is a fiber material used for the thermal insulation in

most of buildings made actually. We can also inject it into the walls of an ancient building. It help us to save thirty percent calefaction, so it ‘s ecological and cheaper, because we have to pay a thirty percent less.

Insulate with mineral wool • This method is also used on schools’ buildings. For example, the

public school José María Pereda of Madrid has injected mineral wool into its walls

The windows do not fit well and that causes a loss of heat that forces the children to continue the warm clothing inside the class

The infrared sensor is able to detect when there is presence in the class.

Solar Panels• In the Solar School system the school remains connected to the normal electricity supply and is called a "grid tied" or "grid

interactive" system. At times, the PV Solar System may generate more power than is being used by the school, which is then fed back into the electricity grid.

• There are several different sizes and types of systems installed across Australian schools. Be sure to check the Solar System page for each school before comparing the generation between systems.

• Environmental and Educational Benefits:• "free" electricity for the school• a 2 kV system displaces approx 2.9 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions from non renewable energy sources • the PV system works silently and produces no pollution• schools require electricity during daylight hours, which is when solar power is generated

Rainwater harvesting

• Its uses include water for gardens, and indoor heating of houses, etc. Collected water can also be used as drinking water, long-term storage and for other purposes, such as recharging aquifers. For the eco-orchard.

Plastic bottles in tanks

• The system is very simple, only requires dismantling the tank and put inside a plastic bottle filled with water, then we will save the volume of water corresponding to the volume of the bottle, that is if we put a half liter, we save half a liter By discharge, the ideal would be to put a liter and a half if it does not enter we can put two of half a liter or some other object that fits and moves the volume of water that we want.

Adjustable heating

• It offers hot water and heating with a common temperature in the rooms, adjustable by means of a centralized thermostat and in each room by means of the thermostatic keys of the radiators. It has installation costs and needs maintenance, but together with the electrical emitters is the system that consumes the least, from the economic point of view .

Sing Yin High School in Hong Kong

Is considered the most ecological at the international levelThis school has an adjustable heating system controlled by motion sensors. According to the number of people regulates the heating of the room, while controlling the lights of the classroom. .

SCHOOLS IN SOUTH AMERICAWith some 3,500 bottles, cisterns have also been built in schools in low-income communities. The initiative that emerged seven years ago in Honduras, has already spread in Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia

Create a great bike parking• The bike is most ecological mean of transport and also the cheapest,

behind walk of course. Ride a bike is also very good for our health, but some schools don’t have enough stands or parking for those. The first way for promote bike’s use is solve this problem.

Page 16: Eco friendly

Organize bike-pools • A bike-pool is an association of people that tries to improve the bike’s

use and to teach to the society the bike’s benefits. Those also search better installations for the bikes, like bike paths… There are bike pools in universities, offices and schools too. On those, the fathers organize all with help of schools’ direction, so all save money and time.

The bike like mean of transport. • The public school Montserrat of Madrid has join two previous

measures. So, the schol has made a parking for fifty bikes and the fathers and classmates have organized a bike pool.
