Orligno 400

Boiler description

To burn wood pellets in the best conditions we introduce the Orligno 400.

The Orligno 400 is one of the most reliable boilers on the market.

It operates in a similar way to gas and oil boilers depending on heat demand.

Automatic ignition in a stainless steel burner and modulated power ensures efficient operation throughout the year.

Its design was developed specifically for the combustion of organic pellets. In contrast to many other boilers with combustion of this fuel is not only an adaptation of a multi-fuel boiler but has a proven dedicated design for pellets.

Both the body and the heat exchanger were designed from the ground up to meet the specific parameters of the pellet burner.

Using a precisely designed tubular heat exchanger, vertically embedded in a compact round body it ensures high-efficiency whilst maintaining a compact size.

The uniquely-designed 16 to 30 kW pellet burner is the result of the many years’ experience of Scandinavian engineers. The chute burner, with a bin made of heat-resistant steel and proportionally-placed air inlet holes, allows economical and clean combustion. A ceramic igniter allows quick ignition of the fuel, and the flame is immediately detected by the photocell. The compact structure of the burner allows easy sliding in and out of the boiler chamber, and a lever placed below the burner bin is used to remove pellet dust to the burner body.

Orligno 500

A compact boiler designed to combust ecological fuel-pellets

Boiler description

Due to the technical solutions applied the Orligno 500 boiler ensures ease of use and reliability regardless of the quality of the pellet fuel used.

The Orligno 500 boiler’s construction was based on 6 years of development and the research of various ideas regarding pellet combustion.

The main target posed to the Orlanski company constructors was the creation of an appliance which would be user-friendly, clean while operating, and above all, one that would provide the customer with a certainty that during the period of the highest demand for heat there would be no issues related to fuel combustion or supply. Moreover, the boiler’s construction enables easy access to the most important mechanical and electrical circuits.

The Orligno 500 is made of high quality boiler steel which ensures durability and reliability of the appliance. Ceramic elements used in the construction are produced from a special fireproof material which is temperature resistant and which guarantees suitable physical and chemical properties.

The compact Orligno 500 boiler, with an integrated pellet tank is an appliance which is designed to combust ecological fuel-pellets with a diameter 6-8mm and length 10-50mm. It is fitted with an automatic igniter and granule feeding system. The ignition process takes place by using a 160W ceramic heater.

The boiler is available with a nominal power of 25kW. However, the power can be from 7 to 25kW.

Upon choosing an Orlanski boiler the customer then has a fully automated boiler whose efficiency is around 91% and input is reduced to periodical controls and re-fuelling.

Fuel containerThe fuel container of 255 litres allows the boiler to operate for up to 170 hours.

Depending on the customer’s preferences the boiler may be adjusted to operate with an outer fuel container feeding system through the use of a suitable control system and a sensor package, regulating the level of pellet in the hopper.

Feeding systemThe feeding system enables not only the pellet supply but also a safety device which preventing the possibility of the flame retracting back to the feeder due to the use of an elastic, gravitational connection.

The fuel feeding system is based on two 72W speed gearmotors. The system is protected by a feeder temperature sensor.

BurnerThe uniquely constructed burner, made of heat-resistant steel ensures complete combustion of fuel whilst maintaining lower emissions which are safe for the natural environment.

The fan located next to the burner operates with a heating element which lasts up to 100,000 ignitions.

BurnerThe burner is the central element of every pellet combusting boiler. The most commonly used ones belong to the retort or chute system. Their ways of operating are different, they have certain advantages and disadvantages. Based on their experiments, the Orlanski company has fitted the Orligno 500 boiler with an openly constructed so called “shovel burner” which combines all the positive features of its market competitors.

Regarding the combustion process itself, Orlanski burner’s parameters correspond with the retort burner parameters. In both cases the supplied fuel is heated beforehand which positively influences the level of emissions.

In the Orlanski’s burner, issues related to fuel blockages on the burner and tracking do not occur due to the use of the feeding mechanism – based on a roller and an open, lengthwise burner construction.

The Orligno 500 boiler’s burner, similar to a chute burner, is very well protected from the flame retraction due to the application of an elastic, vertical chute pipe as well as the burn back sensor.

N Control panel – a large graphic FSTN display, large font and icons make the appliance user-friendly.

N Two types of menu – basic and advanced. While using the appliance on an everyday basis, it can be controlled from the level of easily accessible basic menu.

N INFO button – the regulator is equipped with an intelligent help function. Every parameter is described, the description can be viewed after pressing INFO button.

N Modularly built CAN regulator – thanks to the application of CAN main industrial data exchange (used mainly in demanding motorization trade), the extension of control system is possible. Maximum extension is: 16 heating circuits, 4 hot water for domestic use circuits, 4 energy buffers.

Burner automatics is a modern microprocessor system which does not only control the boiler but also the central heating system and hot water for domestic use.

The appliance steers the combustion process by supplying a suitable amount of air and fuel. Thanks to the application of semi-conducting transmitters, the power of the fan is regulated steadily.

The system can be easily adjusted to the needs of the heating system.

N A modern, productive 32-bit ARM processor – (ARM technology is widely used in mobile phones) enables the advanced control over the Fuzzy Logic II algorithm.

N Alarms and errors record – the regulator keeps the record of 20 most recent alarms and errors, including the description, creation and confirmati on dates.

N Clock and calendar – the clock allows weekly programming of required room and hot water for domestic use temperatures. This leads to financial savings when it comes to buying fuel.

N Statistics – the regulator stores in memory statistical data regarding system operations which enables work supervision and fuel saving. For example, the supervision of boiler temperature and burner power, fuel Feeder working time.

N Alarm sounding – built-in speaker sounds when there is an emergency situation within the boiler which improves safety of the appliance when in use.

N Restoration of factory settings – allows to restore factory settings of the regulator.

N Status light – signals each phase of the operating burner.
