Since inventing and patenting the profile cylinder over eighty years ago, IKON locking cylinders have been set-ting standards in many countries throughout the world. The new eCLIQ electronic locking cylinder has been certified by renowned testing institutions in the latest respective testing classes. In the process, it provides the high investment secu-rity that building operators expect now and in the future.

This is achieved with a versatile modular system with a comprehensive range of various locking

cylinders, reliable electronics and a level of ma-nipulation protection never achieved until now.

Provided with an SuR cap, the cylinder is water resistant in protection rating IP55. With the new seal design of the battery cover, the eCLIQ key is designed in protection rating IP67. Not lastly, eCLIQ verifies its investment security with a convincing price-performance ratio.

The electronic contact between keys and locking cylinders serves to transmit both power and data securely. The release of the locking process takes place after a check of the electronic coding.

The electronic locking cylinder

The profile double locking cylinder is equipped with two electronic cylinder halves. Optionally available with one cylinder half as overturn-pro-tected. The check of the key coding and the release of the locking process take place by means of the electronic module. The electronic locking cylinder does not require any wiring and does not need its own power supply, because this is provided from the battery of the key. The new eCLIQ locking cylinders are designed as a modular system with which the cylinder lengths can be easily set up between 56 mm and 240 mm. With a newly integrated lubricant reserve, the cylin-ders are also maintenance-free for up to 200,000 cycles.

The electronic key

A chip integrated in the head makes each eCLIQ key a unique electronic device. Data transmission is powered by an easily replaced standard bat-tery. With an LED function display, both optical and acoustic signalling are provided for access entitlements, time zones and battery status. The electronic key is produced as a reversible key and therefore always fits. Optionally, the key can be equipped with a quartz-controlled time func-tion, or be supplied as a programmable version. The high quality and durability of the compact key also enable problem-free and long-lasting operation.

The basic components of eCLIQ are:

· The user keys E1 basic, E2 time and E3 remote are assigned with various functions. E1 basic for room access authorisations, E2 time with additional time-restricted authorisations and event logs. E3 remote can also be pro-grammed and enables the temporary issuance of access authorisations. E2 and E3 keys are ideal together with remote programmers. In addition, keys with integrated transponders for integration into electronic access control systems like OPENDO neo are available.

· The Beluga keys B1, B2 and B3 are provided for use in outdoor installation, for storage in the fire service safe, for instance. They are suitable for temper-atures from -30°C to +50°C.

· The eCLIQ locking cylinders automatically register all programmed access entitlements and locking processes.

· The programming key in the signal colour red transport changes in author-isation and event logs between software and locking cylinders – at the same time they serve for authorisation of the use of the software.

· The programmers perform the data transfer between software and keys:

· Table programmers are used locally and centrally, such as in the office of the administrator.

· Remote wall-mounted programmers are used locally and decentrally, such as at entries.

· Remote mobile programmers are location-independent and used directly at the key carrier.

· With CLIQ Manager and CLIQ Web Manager, two management software programs are available for the administration of eCLIQ locking systems. Using them, the user-friendly management of cylinders, keys and people, as well as access entitlements, time settings and event logs is possible.

eCLIQ is comprised of just a few components which achieve maximum efficiency by means of perfect interplay And that is reflected first and foremost in the outstanding cost-benefit rela-tionship. With the large variety of available types of locking cylinders in the modular system, up to 200,000 cycles of maintenance-free use of the

cylinders, their compatibility with all convention-al doors and door systems, eCLIQ leaves open all possibilities for the design of a locking system. With all certifications for all areas of use, includ-ing Ex areas, building operators are equipped for all current and future requirements.

eCLIQ easily and affordably satisfies needs for frequent adaptation of access authorisations, because the locking cylinders can be individually programmed for the required time scale. In the process, access authorisations can also be released temporarily, such as for persons with temporary

work relationships or for workmen or external service providers. The only things you need are the programmer and the red programming key.

regard to your locking system that is no problem at all, because there is a simple software tool for the setup and modification of locking authorisa-tions: the CLIQ Manager.

Comprehensive key control can only be guaran-teed in a system if, in addition to providing the necessary technical conditions, the operator

· Drilling protection

eCLIQ profile cylinders are fitted with drilling protection as standard. The hard metal pins used in the cylinder core and housing, for instance, prevent the locking cylinder from being drilled open. Increased drilling protection in security category 2 can be supplied to meet special locking system security requirements.

· Installation lengths

The basic length of a double profile cylinder is generally 60 mm (L = 30/30). Besides standard lengths which can be extended in 5 mm increments up to a total length of 140 mm, special lengths are also available in 10 mm increments up to a total length of 240 mm.

· DIN class

German Institute for Standardiza-tion (DIN) security classification. All eCLIQ locking cylinders comply with DIN EN 1303/ DIN 18252.

These standards, which define the requirements for high-grade locking cylinders, cover measures such as key control as well as protection against lock picking, decoding, key copying, drilling and core extraction.

· Explosion protection

eCLIQ locking cylinders and keys are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in areas with II 2G classification.

· Emergency mechanism

Each authorised emergency key within an IKON locking system can open or lock double profile cylinders fitted with an emergency mechanism, even when there is an-other key inserted in a lock position on the other side.

· Surface finishes

IKON locking systems can be perfectly matched to the particular style of your doors. Besides the standard nick-el-plated matt finish, other surface finishes are available for profile cylinders, furniture cylinders and outdoor cylinders.

· Security identity card

A security identity card is supplied with every eCLIQ locking system. This security identity card is used for verifi-cation purposes when re-ordering keys and locking cylinders from

the manufacturer. It must be shown to the specialist dealer when re-ordering components from the factory.

· Special identification marking

If required, locking cylinders and keys can be supplied with a special identification marking of your choice, consisting of up to eight digits.

· Dust and rain protection cap

The optional dust and rain protection cap protects locking cylinders installed outdoors against all weather conditions, e.g. on radio masts. The new design increases the IP protection of the cylinder from IP54 to IP55. The cap is also suitable for all cylinder types.

· VdS class

Certification mark issued by VdS-Schaden-verhütung, the German insurance indus-try's certification centre. All IKON euro profile cylinders described here can be optionally supplied with VdS certification according to VdS 2156-2.
