EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Christina started on February 3rd

2009 at Action’s Clearwater location as an assistant. She has been promoted several times and now holds the position of Payables and Office Manager. She is very dedicated always willing to pitch in and help out. She is very detailed oriented and makes sure everything is done correctly. She keeps up the spirits in the office with her wonderful sense of humor. We are very lucky to have her and is a true asset to the company. She is an animal lover with a boxer named Rocky. She was recently married in November to Mustafa. Her background includes going to culinary school and working at a Universal resort. She can still whip up a wonderful cake.

OUR WEBSITES ARE BEING REDESIGNED

On our Action website you are now able to access all the options for truck bodies and equipment in a more user friendly format. Our new Website also includes a new sales page with our specials. Directions using Google Maps. Online versions of our brochures and fliers. We are proud to be the dealer for so many wonderful companies. On our new website we will have an A-Z list of all our suppliers as well as their catalogs. Giving you an easy to use access to any bodies, and equipment offered by our suppliers. Need to view our website on the go? We have also created a mobile version of our website for your convenience. Our parts website as well as the online store will also have mobile counterparts. Our J&B website is getting an upgrade. The look is not changing to drastically but it will be more user friendly. We have redesigned many of our pages. All of the information is being checked to make sure it is current. Need parts? Soon you will be able to buy them right off our website. We are excited to announce we are in the process of creating an online parts website with all the descriptions of parts we offer. Then soon you can go to our brand new online parts store to order any of the parts we will be selling.

FLORIDA CHRISTMAS COOKIES

1 cup shortening or butter (I use unsalted butter at room temp) 1 ½ c. white sugar 2 eggs (room temp) 1 tsp. vanilla 2 T orange zest (zest 2 oranges) 2 T lemon zest (zest 2 lemons) 3 T lemon juice (use juice from zest lemons) 7 T orange juice (use juice from zest oranges) 5 cups all-purpose flour ½ tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda Preheat oven to 325. Zest and juice oranges and lemons. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, orange and lemon juice, and orange and lemon zest. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Dough will be very stiff. Divide dough into quarters, wrap tightly in saran wrap, and refrigerate for at least an hour (or up to about 3 days). Roll out one quarter portion dough at a time to 1/8” thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutters and bake on cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
