Eric CohenEric Cohen is the founder and Managing Principal of E. Cohen, a CPA firm that has provided an integrated suite of tax, assurance, and consulting services to individuals and a wide array of industries across the mid-Atlantic region for nearly 30 years.

Eric primarily provides tax research, planning and compliance services to high-income individuals, C-corporations, LLCs, S-corporations and partnerships, while occasionally providing additional audit and accounting services for these same entities. Eric specializes in such industries as real estate, government contracting, not-for-profit, wholesalers, and professional service companies.

Eric was named as one of the Top Ten 2019 Managing Partner Elite by Accounting Today; one of Washington DC region’s Top Business Executives by SmartCPA Reader’s Choice in 2012, 2011, and 2007; and his firm has been named as Best Accounting Firm to Work For 11 years and counting, as well as the #1 Best Firm for Women in the U.S.

Eric is a member of several professional organizations including the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Society of Accountants, the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Accountants.

Jeffrey SavitskyJeffrey Savitsky “Jeff” is the Managing Director at ECC IT Solutions, LLC. He has over 13 years of information technology experience and has been a Network Systems Engineer for 11 years. As an Information Technology Consultant, he brings extensive information systems experience and skills to ECC IT that not only benefits our firm, but our clients’ businesses as well.

His experience in managing server and client software and hardware has empowered him to regularly manage projects and teams during all stages of development from planning to completion. His responsibilities for system assurance have included backup, offsite storage, and disaster recovery plans.

Prior to joining ECC IT, Jeff worked at American Express Tax and Business Services Corporation / RSM McGladrey, Inc., where he was responsible for all facets of their network systems, including planning, budget, installation, training, support, and management of servers and workstations.

Jeff graduated from The University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business and Management and a Concentration in Decision Information Systems.

Michael CohenDirectorMichael Cohen is a Director at ECC IT Solutions, LLC. Prior to becoming a Director, Michael was a Network Engineer with ECC IT Solutions for eight years. Michael’s responsibilities include configuring and maintaining Windows servers, firewalls and network security, email, help desk support, customer relations, marketing, and billing.

Michael has led many successful client projects, including replacing old servers, building physical servers and configuring them to support virtual machines, and completing data migrations. Michael’s other projects include migrations from Exchange, Google Apps, and other email providers to Microsoft Office 365.

Prior to joining ECC IT, Michael worked at SRA International, where his primary responsibilities included data infrastructure support and validation, client software installation and operations support, database archive management, and general computer support.

Michael graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics.

Ethan SmithDirectorEthan Smith is a Director at ECC IT Solutions, LLC. He has over 17 years of cross-platform experience in all facets of the information technology ecosystem. He is an expert in systems design and integration at both the hardware and software levels, with a strong emphasis on Dell, HP, Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, and WatchGuard solutions.

Ethan is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with over six years of experience assessing IT systems for NIST, PCI, and HIPAA compliance, including preparing System Security Plans (SSP) and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and ensuring all required security controls are documented and implemented. His extensive technical background uniquely positions him to perform most security finding remediation tasks.

Ethan also has extensive experience with designing, implementing, and migrating redundant and scalable Storage Area Networks, including migrating storage between platforms with little or no end-user downtime. His in-depth knowledge of Microsoft-based networks has enabled him to successfully migrate numerous internal networks in their entirety into the Microsoft Office 365 cloud.

Stephen WhiteDirector, Operations and GrowthStephen White serves as ECC IT’s Director of Operations and Growth. He oversees all company operations and leads marketing, client engagement, business development, and strategic partnership activities. Stephen is an accomplished executive with wide-ranging creative, strategic, and management skills and is responsible for developing and executing the firm’s overall growth objectives.

Prior to joining ECC IT, Stephen served as Vice President of Practice Growth for a local defense contractor and as Chief Administrative Officer and Partner at a large regional professional services firm. In these roles, Stephen designed and executed ambitious strategic plans for business unit growth and innovation and was responsible for administrative services, including marketing, business development, network administration, and firm operations.

Stephen has earned numerous awards for his innovative marketing campaigns. In 2004, he spoke on behalf of the Greater Washington Initiative in Canberra, Australia before an audience that included the Australian Prime Minister and members of Parliament, during which he discussed several topics such as business globalization, U.S. government contracting, and the Australian Free Trade Agreement.

Stephen holds certificates in a variety of administrative, sales, and technical training specialties and is an active member of various trade organizations. He is frequently asked by the media and professional organizations to comment on marketing, sales, and technology-related topics.
