The EC145 T2, the newest 4-ton classtwin engine, multi-purpose helicopter inthe Eurocopter product range, is the latestevolution of the EC145/BK117 family. This family of aircraft has seen more than800 deliveries worldwide and has

accumulated more than 3 million flight hours. The EC145 T2 combines EUROCOPTER’sbreakthrough technologies, including anadvanced cockpit design, modernavionics, 4-axis autopilot and a Fenestron®

tail rotor, with the rugged and proven

designs of the BK117 family, such as the main rotor system.Thanks to its outstanding roomy andversatile cabin, this aircraft canaccommodate up to 12 seats and can beconfigured for either one or two pilots.

PowerfulThe EC145 T2 is equipped with twopowerful and modern Turbomeca Arriel 2Eengines, each controlled by a dual channelFull Authority Digital Engine Control(FADEC), which, in combination with theaircraft’s lifting system, provideoutstanding All Engine Operative (AEO)performances. The One Engine-Inoperative (OEI) performances of this newaircraft version have been significantlyimproved.The EC145 T2 is capable of Category Aoperations up to Class 1 and Class 2performance, according to EASA OPS.

• FenestronThe Fenestron is a proven, Eurocopter tailrotor innovation with an anti-torque-deviceand redundant hydraulics. It is the idealsolution for 360° approachability at alltimes and the highest protection for thoseon the ground. The Fenestron allows forincreased operations in dense urban areasand confined spaces (helipad, forest),where foreign object damage is a high risk.

• Most advanced Human Machine Interface with innovative Eurocopter avionics suite

High Availability and Cost-Effective MaintenanceThe new gear box of the EC145 T2 is anevolution of the proven solutions offeredby the EC145 and Bölkow System. Boththe main gear box and aircraftcomponents benefit from an increasedtime between scheduled maintenanceoverhauls, resulting in lower maintenancecosts and the best solution to keep youraircraft in-service when you need it. The new Engine Data Recorder (EDR),along with an e-Logbook, provides anincreased surveillance of system behaviorallowing for further analysis in order toanticipate upcoming maintenance needs.

Environmental-FriendlyEquipped with the Fenestron®, whichsignificantly reduces sound levels, theEC145 T2 is the quietest helicopter in its class. The all-composite structure andaerodynamic geometry of this tail boomalso contribute to an optimized fuelconsumption.

An Elegant ShapeWith a refined interior and a pleasingexterior shape thanks to the Fenestron tailrotor, the EC145 T2 provides even themost demanding customers with solutionstailored to their specific needs.

Extented Mission CapabilitiesSharing many basic features with theEC145, the EC145 T2 will be able to beequipped with the same optionalequipment to carry out missions such asEMS, Law Enforcement, SAR, BusinessAviation, oil and gas and utility.

The EC145 T2 comes with a 4-axis autopilot, optimizing the capabilities of theaircraft for over-water day and night SARmissions. This innovative auto pilot,developed specifically for helicopters, isalready available and in operation with theEC155, EC175 and EC225. It has beenacknowledged by its operators as a high end, user-friendly and extremely helpful system.
