Unique Filtration Process

Moisture and particulate

contamination are the main

causes of oil contamination

in industrial equipment. If

neglected, these contaminants

will restrict equipment

efciency, causing machine

downtime and signicant

expenses from shortenedoil change intervals, higher

replacement demand, and

increased maintenance costs.

BFD desiccant air breathers

prevent water and other

contaminants from entering uid

reservoirs where differential

pressures can occur through

thermal expansion and

contraction of the uid, or during

lling or emptying procedures.

Made up of a hygroscopic

agent, compliant with revised

European regulations (Council

Directive 88/379/EEC), BFD

breathers utilize the entire lterarea and have the capability of

extracting water vapor out of the

air as soon as it enters (is drawn

into) the unit. Accompanying

solid particles are removed

by a 3 m absolute glass lter,

allowing only clean, dry air to

enter the system.
