The three most commons types of eating disorders are
Anorexia Bulimia Compulsive overeating
(Also called binge eating disorder)
Each group will be researching one of these.
The aim:
To learn about the eating disorder and gain an understanding of how eating disorders affect individuals, our community and society.
To inform the rest of the class about the eating disorder
You will create a leaflet, mini documentary, story board or other presentation.
You must hand in notes showing your research and sources of information
Benefecits will be awarded for the best presentation ie most informative and creative
Some questions to think about
What are the main symptoms? What kind of behaviour will a person suffering
from this show? What are the likely effects on the body? How can it be treated? How many people in the UK are affected? What
age and sex are they? How could you help and support a friend going
through this? If using images please be sensitive and
do not use photos of extreme thinness or fatness.
