COOLING + DHW WITH ENERGY RECOVERYDuring summer operation in cooling mode, the cycle dedicated to DHW production extracts heat from return water from the system circuit.

e cooling requirements of the building is partially satisfi ed by the DHW cycle and the comfort refrigerating cycle must deliver less power by reducing the speed of the inverter compressor.

e heat taken from the system is recovered in hot water for domestic use. e effi ciency of the integrated system increases (ratio between the energy produced and the energy absorbed from the mains).

PERFORMANCE AND ENERGY ADVANTAGES

In adverse weather conditions traditional heat pumps decrease thermal output producing wa-ter at a lower temperature. Sherpa AQUADUE® as well as extending the area of operation ensures a constant heat output, in the production of Dome-stic Hot Water.

Optimum area of operation of traditional heat pumps

Area of operation extended - AQUADUE® technologye double refrigerator circuit allows higher DHW pro-duction temperatures thanks to the water-water circu-it which are independent of outside air temperature.

Heat recovery area - AQUADUE® technologyin summer cooling operation the refrigeration cycle dedicated to DHW production removes heat from the comfort circuit increasing the overall efficiency of the system.

FEATURES

3-way valve incorporated in the internal module for the deviation of the system water supply to the DHW reservoir: allowing installation simplifi cation.

Provides DHW with temperatures up to 60 ° C

DHW Management: Sherpa can manage DHW with extreme fl exibility through two management methods:water sensor inserted in the boiler or contact thermostat in the tank.

Climatic curves based on the outside air temperature:two curves are available, one for cooling and one for heating. e climatic curves allow you to change the system temperature according with external climate conditions, adjusting the heat input to the heat requirements of the building in order to obtain energy savings.

Two confi gurable set points in cooling, ree confi gurable set points in heating (one of which for DHW): the set points can also be selected by remote contact.

2-stage electric heater: confi gurable single or double stage which can be activated to support the heat pump, through verifi cation, by electronic control, of the actual thermal capacity of the heat pump. Each stage is activated in accordance with the real need for thermal power, in order to optimize electrical consumption.

Daily programmer with night mode:Night mode provides energy savings of up to 20%. Complete management of antilegionella cycles.

Complete management of antilegionella cycles.

Refrigerant gas R410A.*

e engineering of components has made it possible to include necessary components within the machine for system operation and Domestic Hot Water management. e fi tting of 3-way valve within the module simplifi es installation procedures and reduces work times.

- SHERPA SHW 200 Standard that envisions the heat pump and the electric heating element with 200 l tank

- SHERPA SHW 300S With auxiliary coil for use combined with panels with 300 l tank

PHOTOVOLTAIC INTEGRATIONContact for integration with photovoltaic plant, which forces switch-on and raises the machine set-point. e energy produced by the photovoltaic system is stored to lower the DHW production costs and maximise the energy saving.

HIGH EFFICIENCYHigh effi ciency compressor with R134a refrigerant.

MANAGEMENT OF SOLAR ENERGYCompatible with the solar thermal system: the unit can work with a second energy source such as solar panels.

DHW PRODUCTION TO -10°CProduction of DHW in heat pump mode with air temperature up to -10°C.

SMART CONTROL e effective heat pump set is adjusted by a climatic curve, so that in the case of hot air withdrawn from the outside (over 25°C with water at 65°C, over 35°C with water at 55°C), high pressure alarms are prevented. e electric heating element automatically integrates the temperature of the tank at the desired set whenever the effective set is adju-sted by the climatic curve.

* Values obtained with outdoor air temperature 7°C and relative humidity 87%, inlet water temperature 10 °Cand temperature set 55°C (EN 16147).

FLEXIBILITY AND BENEFITS• Waste heat recovery: the unit can be installed near the kitchen, in the

boiler-room or the garage, basically in every room which has a largenumber of waste-heat so that it has the higher energy efficiency evenwith very low outside temperatures during the winter.

• Hot water, cooling and dehumidification: the unit can be placed in thelaundry room, in clothing room, gym or garage. When it produces hotwater it lowers the temperature and dehumidifies the room as well.

• Compatible with solar energy: the unit can work with a second heatsource as solar panels, boilers or other different energy sources (remark:the extra heat source is not provided with).

• The function for which the unit has been designed is only that of heatpump for DHW production. Any other side effect (ambient cooling, dehumidification, waste heat recovery) should be considered as a perk. The performance data are therefore provided only with respect to thefunction of water heating.

ADVANTAGES• The actual set of the heat pump is controlled by a climate curve for

preventing that the hot air taken from outside (over 25°C with water at65°C, over 35°C with water at 55°C) may cause high pressure alarms.

• The electrical heater integrates automatically the temperature of thetank to the desired setting when the actual setting is controlled by theweather curve.

• Predisposition for integration with photovoltaic system. After enabling the photovoltaic inverter, the set temperature will increase to the maximumvalue (according to the climate control).
