Casera, soft drink of various flavours sometimes mixed with wine, and then known as tinto de verano. fiestAs, fAirs & pilgrimAges On the third weekend in August the village of Iter de la Vega celebrates the Fiestas Solidario de Tachurock (Solidarity Festival ) with games, music, wine and paella to raise funds towards aid projects in Angola. ¶ On 8 September a festival in honour of the patron saint of Itero de la Vega, La Virgen de la Piedad ( Our Lady of Mercy) commences with Mass in the tiny chapel/ shrine on the outskirts of the village. ¶ e Fiestas de San Isidro, the patron saint of farmers is held in Frómista on 15 May with an agricultural parade through the streets and farm produce on display. ¶ A Cheese Fair is held in Frómista in July (dates change each year). ¶ Día del Per- egrino or Pilgrims’ Day is celebrated in Frómista on the first Sunday in September. 133 15 Camino.
