SAFETY

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT WITH FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR. This available feature continually monitors how close your vehicle is to the vehicle in front of you. If the system determines that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, it alerts the driver to a potential crash. It also warns the driver if their Cruze is following a detected vehicle much too closely.

LANE KEEP ASSIST. At speeds above 60 km/h (37 mph), this available camera-based system monitors road lines and will gently turn the steering wheel if the vehicle begins changing lanes without the use of a turn signal.

SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT. This available feature uses radar sensors on both sides of the vehicle to help “look” for other vehicles in your side blind zone areas and indicates their presence with LED-lit symbols in the exterior rear-view mirrors.

LANE CHANGE ALERT. Working with available Side Blind Zone Alert, available Lane Change Alert employs radar sensors in the rear quarter panels to help detect and warn the driver of fast-approaching vehicles in the adjacent lane from up to 20 m (65 ft.) away, not just in the side-view mirror blind zones.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT. Using the same radar sensors as the available Side Blind Zone Alert feature, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert helps warn drivers of approaching traffic when backing up. If an approaching vehicle is detected, the driver is warned with visual and audible alerts.

REAR VISION CAMERA. When travelling in reverse at low speeds, the available rear vision camera allows you to see stationary objects behind you.

REAR PARK ASSIST. This available feature helps you back up by sounding an audible alert when it detects certain stationary objects up to 2.4 m (8 ft.) behind the vehicle.

INTELLIBEAM HEADLAMPS. When oncoming headlamps are sensed or when tail lamps are detected in front of you, the available IntelliBeam™ headlamps intuitively adjust between low and high beams.

10 STANDARD AIRBAGS.1 Every Cruze includes dual-stage frontal and knee airbags for driver and front passenger, head-curtain side-impact airbags for front and rear outboard passengers, and front and rear seat-mounted side airbags.
