Building Great Neighbourhoods - Working together to make the most out of your neighbourhood.
This is your city and your neighbourhood. We want to understand how you experience your neighbourhood and ask for your input on what we might do to make it better. We will engage and work with you on the renewal of roads, sidewalks, street lights, and park spaces, and promote other community opportunities to enhance how people live and interact in your neighbourhood. We commit to being open and transparent about how your input is used. Let’s make the most out of your neighbourhood.
At the end of the workshop please turn in your completed workbook at the welcome table to be entered into a draw!

How We Engaged
A public workshop including a guided neighbourhood walk was held December 1, 2018 at the Eastwood Community League.
Two online surveys gathering input on Visioning and Local Knowledge were available from December 1, 2018 to January 15, 2019.
A community pop-up was held at the St. Gerard School Christmas Concert on December 12, 2018 to promote the online surveys.
St. Gerard School students from grades 4 to 6 answered questions about Visioning and Local Knowledge in a classroom handout.
A community pop-up was held at Safeway Coliseum on January 10, 2019 where shoppers completed the surveys.
A pop-up event on January 31, 2019 at Crystal Kids allowed youth to give feedback through both a handout and table exercises.
A survey exploring specific design options and features was available online from February 19 to March 4, 2019.

Event OverviewWe ask for you to share your level of support for an idea so we can better prioritize the needs and wants of the community. We will use your priorities to guide the decision making process where we can.
What do the different levels of support mean?
Support - I would like to see this option carried forward in the neighbourhood design.
Do not support - I do not agree with this option being part of the neighbourhood design.
Neutral - I would be satisfied if this design was a part of the design or not part of the design.
Please also leave comments! The more information you can provide around why you support or do not support an option, the better!
