Summer Basketball Skills Camp, June 24 - 27The Christian Life Center will host a summer basketball skills camp for rising 1st - 6th

grade boys and girls, June 24 - 27. This camp is conducted by “The Greatest Champion.” For more information, contact Bill Ketchin ([email protected] or call 256-1654) or check out their website at www.thegreatestchampion.org.

Easter Egg HuntThe Pre-School Committee invites children, toddlers-5K (older

siblings are welcome), to an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 24 at 4:00 p.m. This will be held at the home of the Crueas, 2121 Shady Lane, 29206. Please e-mail Courtney at [email protected]

for information and if you would like to HELP. There will be 2,000 eggs to find, a visit from the Easter bunny and the Easter story! Remember to bring your own basket. RSvP in the E-News or http://epcegghunt.notlong.com. This event should last about an hour.

Easter Family Service Project Save the date of Saturday, March 23! Eastminster will be hosting an Easter egg hunt and

Amos Disasa to be Savvy Seniors SpeakerEastminster’s own Amos Disasa will speak at the Tuesday, March 26, meeting of Savvy

Seniors at noon in Thompson Hall. Born in Ethiopia, he attended Eastminster as a child with his parents and returned years later as associate minister. He is now founding pastor of Downtown Church and will talk about his work there, as well as projects his congregation has launched at Bethel Evangelical Secondary School (B.E.S.S.) in Africa.

Sportsman BanquetHold the date for the 2013 Annual Sportsman Banquet. It will be held on Thursday, May

Peanut Butter Sunday, March 24This is an easy way of giving back to those less fortunate and to show gratitude for the

What are the Stations of the Cross?THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS originated from Jerusalem pilgrimages and fol-low the Passion narrative, journeying with Jesus through His suffering and death. You will prayerfully travel through 14 stations. Images and scripture will help you to meditate over the scenes as Jesus moves from Gethsemane to the tomb.Where: 3rd Floor of the Education BuildingWhen: Wednesday, March 27, 12:00 – 7:30 p.m. Before 6:00 p.m. please enter through the reception area. (We will invite people to move through the stations in groups

of 5 to 10, starting at 5:00 p.m. Groups will be separated by 10 to 15 minutes, in order that

everyone has the opportunity to spend ample time at each station without feeling crowded.)

Parents are you Stumped . . . about College Selection?Are you stumped as to how to prepare your middle school or high school

student for the college selection process? Please come to the Parenting of Teen Sunday School class (in the game room of the CLC) on March 24th at 10:15 a.m.

Scott verzyl, Associate vice President for Enrollment Management at Uni-versity of South Carolina, will be teaching this class on March 24th. At USC, Scott oversees the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Orientation and Testing, TRIO Programs and the Registrar, as well as the Career Center and visitor Center.

Scott brings 23 years of experience in higher education to his current role. He previously held positions in college admissions in the University of Alabama system and at Georgia Tech. We are extremely excited about this opportunity for the EPC family.

Scott will lead us and discuss questions you have related to how to prepare your middle school or high school student for the college selection process. In order to help Scott tailor this talk to your needs, he has asked that you send him questions you would like addressed during our time together. Please email him at [email protected].

Loaves and Fishes Easter Covered Dish LunchPlease join the Fellowship Committee for a Covered Dish Lunch on Easter

Sunday, March 31, in the Adult Reception Hall following the 10:30 a.m. worship services. This is an intergenerational event for members who are not traveling or eating elsewhere, to share in an Easter meal together. We hope to have a hymn-sing afterwards and some other activities for fellowship.

Last Names: A-G, bring either a salad or vegetable; H-R, bring either rice, pasta, or potato dish; and S-Z, bring a dessert. Please bring enough to feed 10 people. The meat (ham and fried chicken) is being provided by several mem-bers, and the church is furnishing the drinks.

Please register (name; phone number; E-mail; food item; number and names in party) by Sunday, March 23, 2013. Registration forms will be located in the Narthex on Sunday mornings, and in the church receptionist’s area each day. Fill out a form and leave it in the adjacent basket; or sign up electronically in the E-News.
