to Dunbar The Connecting Dunbar project was funded by the Scottish Governmentʼs Climate Challenge Fund from Jan 2010 to Mar 2011 to work out how local people travel, where they go, and start enabling them to make more sustainable travel choices. The Primary School and the High Street are the most popular destinations for walking trips. Comments received about walking trips in East Linton included:- The Square, Bank Road and Prestonkirk need to be widened for buggies. Mud and puddles near doctorʼs surgery, entrance to park and Bank Road. Better footpaths needed from the Crown to Bank Road. A pedestrian crossing is needed on the High Street. The information shown has been gathered from the household surveys carried out in 2010. As a rough guide, these results are about 10% of the walking/cycling/car trips taking place each day.
