Blessing of Unborn Children The church welcomes with joy and compassion the mothers who, recognizing that all life is a gift from God, come to the Church seeking a blessing for their unborn child. Such a blessing sustains the parents by imparting grace and comfort in times of concern and need, unites the parish in prayer for the unborn child, and fosters respect for human life within society. The Rite will usually be conducted on the second weekend of each month: Next blessing will be on APRIL 9/10.

The parish office will be closed Monday, March 28,

for the Easter holiday. Next weekend we will be

taking up a special collection to support the Holy Spirit

missionaries and their Mustard Seed Mission this

June. Envelopes will be available at the doors.

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord - March 27, 2016 Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord - March 27, 2016

Welcome to EVERYONE! How great to be with you: parishioners, visitors, relatives, friends, students home for Easter/Spring break and all! On behalf of the entire staff of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, I, Father Bill, am so happy that you are here. You make our Easter celebration complete! May our Risen Lord bring you the joy and the peace which is Easter. Truly, Christ is risen! Alleluia!

Easter Prayer O God, the resurrection of Your Son has given us new life and renewed hope. Help us to live as new people In pursuit of the Christian ideal. Grant us wisdom to know what we must do, the will to want to do it, the courage to undertake it, the perseverance to continue to do it, and the strength to complete it. Amen.

To those of you who might be visiting us on this Easter Sunday, let me share with you some of the exciting things that are happening here at Holy Spirit: • We are going on a Mission Trip to Jamaica in early June. We

will have several fundraisers — one this week: the very popular Bunco Game Night. See details to the right →

• We are in the midst of a Capital Campaign, “Building God’s House, Our Home”. There’s a Pledge Form on the back page. If you want to talk to me about our plans, please contact me at 702-HLY-SPRT (459-7778), extension 101, or email me at [email protected]

• Did you know that we have a website: www.holyspiritlv.org and an APP? Check your APP store or scan bottom left, page 2.

• This summer we are having our first-ever Vacation Bible School; read about it on page 6.

Happy Easter. God bless you.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE PREPARING TO MAKE THEIR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

We Share a Meal and Go Forth

Next weekend our young parishioners who are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion will gather together for

their last class before they make their First Holy Communion. They will be reflecting about the Eucharist as a meal where

we are nourished by the Body and Blood of Jesus.

Join them by reflecting on your own experience of the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

We pray for all our young people preparing for

Holy Communion, that as they come to the table to be nourished by the presence of Jesus, they will also find him in

us as a community. Amen

How Can You Help Save A LIFE? Please join us as we celebrate life by taking a baby bottle! Bottles will be available after mass on April 2nd & 3rd and will be collected April 16th & 17th. You can be a part of directly touching a family in a crisis pregnancy with the love of Christ! Simply place a bottle in your home or office and commit to pray for the clients & their unborn baby. As the Lord leads, please fill the bottle with cash, checks or coins to help provide the complimentary care these families need to help them make a choice for LIFE.
