N This was the message to the women to came to the tomb. Nor should we today look for Jesus among the dead but among the living, among those who live in this world with the hope of being there at the Resurrection of the Dead in the Kingdom of God. The message of Easter is that we are all loved by our merciful God, beyond and above any human love we have ever known. Jesus never stopped loving his disciples even though they failed him miserably. Nor has he ever stopped loving us, though we do the same. The one who loves us is the same Jesus who not only took on the Cross, but was resurrected from the dead, to show us that He is alive and that we, too, will live forever through faith in him. So death isn’t the final stop on the journey of life. Love is Eternal, and so will our lives be, if we believe in Christ and follow his lead. And so, on this Resurrection Sunday, I invite you to join with me in making a fresh start in life, to let the Risen Christ’s love shine out into the darkness of our world and make it more akin to the Kingdom of God, especially in this Jubilee Year of Mercy. And I pray that the joy of Easter may invade our hearts and radiate out the risen presence of Christ to everyone we meet. TODAY! - EASTER CAKE STALL Delicious, mouth-watering, home made cakes will be

on sale TODAY after the masses.  All funds being raised go towards getting our parish youth to WYD.  Lighten your cooking load and help a great cause at the same time. Donations

of cakes to sell are also welcome.

EASTER BANNER: Last weekend, at our Teen Youth

Night, we created our Parish Easter Banner. This theme of this banner is “Carrying Our Crosses” in which our Teens have presented the many and

varied ways that we can help carrying the crosses of others –

donating money, taking on burdens or offering a simple smile.

Palm Sunday Procession - Last Sunday, the rains stopped enough for us to enjoy and reflect on the significance of Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week.  Together we reflected on how much Jesus helps us (as Jesus helped Bartimaeus) and compared this to how much of ourselves we can offer to Jesus (as Mary did when she offered all her precious ointment for Jesus).  Thank you to those that prepared this “procession” and to those who attended and participated.

FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST EUCHARIST DATES

An Information Night will be held on March 31st, in the Hall, about the dates and programs for First

Reconciliation and First Eucharist to be held in our Parish this year. The evening will start with a Mass at 7pm and be followed by a light supper during the Information Evening. For catering purposes, please

email the office if you wish to attend.
