Matthew 28:18-20Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Colossians 2:12For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him
you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
1 Peter 2:21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you
an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
What to Do in Days of Pain?
Answer: You Reach Out to Friends
Matthew 26:36-38Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane,
and he said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” 37 He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. 38 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

Mark 14:35-36He went on a little farther and fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it
were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by. 36 “Abba, Father,”he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

1) Affirm God’s Power: “everything is possible for you”
2) Express Your Desire: “Please take this cup of suffering away from me.”
3) Offer Your Trust: “Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

pieces because of what happens to me.”

How Do I Get Through Days of Confusion?
Answer: You Remember the Promises of God
2 Corinthians 1:20For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in
Christ.
Isaiah 43:2-3When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. 3 For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

We would be excited to baptize you as soon as you are ready! If you are ready today, we are going to be having baptisms at the end of both of our Fairplex services. How Do I Get to the Days of Joy?

God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead...
Philippians 3:10-11I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised
him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
