Congratulations to: Frisbee A Division and Volleyball A Division who were winners of their competitions and to Rugby A Division who came second in their competition. Staff Farewell Today we farewell Mrs Ceri Burton who has decided to retire. Mrs Burton has been with East Beechboro Primary for 10 years and has made significant contributions to both student and school outcomes. On behalf of staff, students and the wider school community, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Mrs Burton for her commitment, hard work and support and I wish her the very best in this new chapter of her life. Staff Changes We welcome to our staff Ms Shani Webb. Ms Webb has taken over the HaSS position from Miss Povall. We warmly welcome Ms Webb to the East Beechboro Primary School community. 2022 Enrolments We are currently accepting Applications for Enrolment into all year levels at our school for students who reside in our local intake area. If you know of someone in our local area who is looking for a school for their child, please encourage them to contact us. Children born between 1st July 2017 and 30th June 2018 are due to commence Kindergarten next year. Places in Kindergarten are limited and as such it is important to submit applications as soon as possible. Applications close 23rd July 2021. Parents will be advised in writing if their application has been approved early to mid August. Application forms for all year levels are available on our school website and from the office. Please note that if your child is currently attending Pre-Primary to Year 5 this year, they are not required to enrol again as they will automatically be allocated a place for next year. ANZAC Commemoration We will be holding our ANZAC Commemoration Service on Wednesday 28th April at 9.00am. This is a formal and respectful service led by our Student Councillors, where invited guests share their experiences so that we can truly appreciate the sacrifices that were made for us and our country. Further information will be sent out at the start of next term. Unwell Students As we begin to enter the cooler months, colds and flus will become more prevalent. If your child is unwell, please do not send them to school. Students who demonstrate signs of illness will be sent to the office and parents will be contacted to collect them. These measures are necessary in ensuring that we maintain a healthy environment for all our students. Your support is appreciated. End of Term Term 1 has gone by very quickly, partially because it was a shortened term and also due to the many events and the numerous things we have accomplished. Thank you to our students, staff and community for their hard work and commitment this term. Next term is an eleven week term and already looks to be very busy. I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter and a relaxing, safe and well earned holiday. Students will return to school on Monday 19th April.
