Yes, this is true. Under the current Government, in the last 2.5 years, Punjab has surpassed INR 50,000 Cr. of investments. This is a figure of the grounded investments made in the State. Out of the investments made, in 13% of the cases land has been purchased/provisioned, for 19% of the cases site permissions are under process and 68% of the cases are at the construction or production stage.

Obtaining clearance for construction involves obtaining multiple approvals/clearances/NOCs from various Government Authorities. As part of the Invest Punjab Business First Portal, an integrated construction permit application has been developed that combines the applications for multiple approvals (e.g. Building Plan Approval, Fire NOC, Water & Sewer Connection etc.) into a single application.
