MAGNITUDE The moment magnitude scale is
used to measure the size of earthquake in terms of energy.
SCALE The scale was developed in 1970’s
to succeed the 1930’s-era Richter magnitude scale (Ml).
Richter scale is improved from of Marcalli scale.
