Earth GlobeChanging map colors

StartOpen the Globe EarthTo start working in the 3D model file, select the layer model, double click in top of the 3D icon (01) to get the 3D control panel (To use 3d tools, you must desactivate final render, change to interactive (02)

Open the Earth master file, to customize colors, you will findthree layer:Top layer for paralels and longitude lines bellow this, the land map one step down the sea.Pick the layer you want to change, in top menu- select - load selection- transparent layer - fill with your color, save a jpg file to be uploaded later in 3D model file.

Earth GlobeChanging map colors

Go to the 3D materials panelselect diffuse (03) - upload your map, rotate with the 3D rotate tool, to find a better angle.

DiffuseThe color of the material. The diffuse map can be a solid color or any 2D content. The Diffuse color swatch value sets the diffuse color if you choose to remove the diffuse texture map.

Go to 3d tools, and activate final render. Will take several minutes to render, then, click on the top of the picture to stop render, when you are satisfy with the result.

Earth GlobeReflection

To change the earth globe reflection, go to the 3D materials panelselect environment (04) - upload the texture you need - matte, half gloss, or gloss.

Environment maps are applied as spherical panoramas. The contents of the environment map can be seen in the reflective areas of the model.To prevent an environment map from reflecting on a given material, change Reflectivity to 0%, add a reflectivity map that masks the material area, or remove the environment map for that material.

ReflectionIncreases the reflection of other objects in the 3D scene, and the environment map, on the material surface.

Go to 3d tools, and activate final render. Will take several minutes to render, then, click on the top of the picture to stop render, when you are satisfy with the result.

Earth GlobeOpacity

To change the earth globe Opacity, go to the 3D materials panel select Opacity (05) - upload the opacity texture

The grayscale values of the texture map control the opacity of the material. White values create complete opacity and black values create complete transparency

Go to 3d tools, and activate final render. Will take several minutes to render, then, click on the top of the picture to stop render, when you are satisfy with the result.

Earth GlobeBump

To make a bump effect, go to the 3D materials panel select Bump (06) - upload the bump texture.

A bump map is a grayscale image in which lighter values create raised surface areas and darker values create flatter surface areas.

Enter a number in the field or use the scrubby slider to increase or decrease bump strength.

Go to 3d tools, and activate final render. Will take several minutes to render, then, click on the top of the picture to stop render, when you are satisfy with the result.
