We are very pleased that the Very Reverend Raymond Diesbourg, MSC, Provincial Superior of the United States and Colombia Province of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, will be the featured speaker at our annual dinner. No stranger to the Foundation, Fr. Diesbourg served as provincial representative to the SHF Board from 2008 to 2011. He has traveled to numerous MSC communities throughout the world and has a real appreciation for the missionary life. Please join us as we welcome Fr. Diesbourg back for a visit and this opportunity to hear about his experiences. You may purchase tickets for the dinner from any board or Honorary Council Member or by calling our office at 782-3344. Although the weather was unseasonably hot, the tournament was a great success. Twenty-one teams participated, and Victory Promotions (Chuck Lamon, Jack Cox, John Parks and Jake Navarra) was the winning team with a score of 58. The teams from Bezanilla-McGraw (Bruce Bezanilla, Jim Scanlon, Chip Virkler and Reid Peirce) and Thomas Trash (Art Sboro, Jr., Bill Stoodley, Sr., Bill Stoodley, Jr., and Bobby Fox) tied with a 59. Peter M. Ng’ang’a, born in Maragwa, Kenya, traces his attraction to the MSC’s to time spent studying in Ireland at the De- velopment Studies Centre. The simple fra- ternal way of living and spirituality of the Heart of the MSC student community in Tallaght touched him deeply. Since then, he has studied in Cameroon and in South Africa and is now back in Cameroon working on his fourth year of Theology. Br. Carroll Tevamle is currently in his last year of theological studies at the Catholic Theological Institute in Papua New Guinea. While doing grades 11 and 12 at St. Peter Chanel Minor Seminary, he heard about Missionaries of the Sacred Heart from an American priest then Rector of the Mi- nor Seminary - Fr. Richard Kennedy. Thank you, Fr. Richard for inspiring this vocation.

After six years with the Foundation, Nick Buduson has decided to retire. His last day in the office was May 31, 2012. Nick joined the Foundation in January 2006, following a 35-year career at Fishercast, Inc., where he was Vice President and General Manager. During his tenure as Foundation Manager, Nick directed the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. His leadership and quiet encouragement of committee chairs and activities were instrumental in the growth experienced by the Foundation. Nick is a native of Watertown and continues to live here with his wife, Christine. He is a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish. The Foundation thanks Nick for

all of his efforts and hard work over the past six years and wishes him well in his second retirement. The Sacred Heart Foundation is very pleased to announce that Kathleen Mastellon has been appointed as its new Foundation Manager. Kathy was born and brought up in the New York City area. She graduated from a Catholic High School in Queens and from Molloy College on Long Island. She moved to the North Country with her husband, Kevin, in 1970. Kathy has worked at the Greater Watertown Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson Community College and the Fort Drum Regional L ia ison Organization and its predecessor, the Fort Drum Steering Council. She is a

member of St. Patrick’s Parish, where she is lector and a Eucharistic minister and where Kevin has served as a Deacon Pastoral Associate since 2003. She has also volunteered as a Commissioned Lay Minister, VIRTUS Facilitator, and coordinator of the Elizabeth Ministry Chapter at St. Patrick’s. Kathy and Kevin have lived in Watertown since 1973. Their daughter, Ticia Marra, and their three grandsons also live in Watertown.
