EAGLE READER PROGRAM - Maple Hills Elementary...
Transcript of EAGLE READER PROGRAM - Maple Hills Elementary...
EAGLE READER PROGRAM OVERVIEW: The Eagle reader program is a reading program where
students record minutes that they've read at home. If a
student reads the required minutes for their grade level
they get to come to the Eagle reader clubhouse (held once
a month) to pick out a free book. If they don't meet the
required minutes of reading then they get a bookmark.
WHAT TO DO? Track your reading minutes. Attached is a paper calendar
that you can keep at home to help students track daily
reading minutes. Any time during the month students or
parents can log in the reading minutes. This can be done
daily, weekly or once a month. It’s up to you!
DEADLINE! Parents must log into to the site by the end of each month
to approve their student’s minutes for that month. It’s up
to you how often you want to approve minutes. Approve
them daily, weekly or monthly. Just make sure to approve
your student’s minutes by the end of the month!
HOW DO I LOG AND APPROVE MINUTES? Visit maplehillspta.com website (left menu bar, book icon)
to do this. Find your students name or create an account
for them.
NO INTERNET?
No problem! Have you student bring in their paper
calendar at the end of the month with a parents signature
on it and turn it into their teacher. It’s that easy!
