DETERMINING TEAMS,POSITIONS AND PLAYING TIMEThere will be a Division I team and a Division II team. The Division I team is the top team. The coaching staff will continue to evaluate our athletes on a weekly basis to determine if they should be on the DI or DII team. There may be an opportunity to move an athlete up or down based on an individuals needs, grades and improvement level.

We give our athletes opportunity to try out at the position they want. Coaches then determine if that position is best for the athlete and the team.If the staff feels that the move could help the team at another position then the athlete will be moved accordingly.

According to the LISD Athletic Handbook each athlete will play in every game. However playing time will be determined in practice, games and to the coaches discretion. It is preferred that the athlete contact the coaching staff in regards to needed improvement or more playing time.MISSING PRACTICEIf an athlete gets sick or hurt the coaching staff ask that you send a note or email about his condition. A doctors note is required if the athlete is to miss for an extended period of time.

ELIGIBILITYAn athlete that fails a class at the end of each six weeks grading period will become ineligible to play in game competition for three weeks. During this time he is expected to participate in all practices. If at the end of the three week period all grades are passing, he will be allowed to compete on the date specified by the TEA/UIL Eligibility Calendar.
