Details of activities from 15th May 2019 to 14th June 2019

• JUNE 6 : ENVIRONMENT DAY OBSERVATION

• World Environment day was celebrated by our NSS unit on 6th June 2019. Around 55 plant saplings

were planted in different parts of the campus. Along with plantation of new saplings, maintenance

of previous years saplings were also given importance.The programme was inaugurated by college

Principal, Dr.Padma.P. NSS Programme officers Mr.Viswan M G and Dr.Nisha Unnikrishnan led

the plantation programme.

• JUNE 10: Seminar On Air Pollution Environmental Protection: NSS unit in association

with P.G Dept.of Chemistry organised one day seminar on Air pollution and environmental

protection.The programme was Inaugurated by Smt.P B Sreelakshmi (Engineer, State Pollution

Control Board,ELoor) by distributing tree saplings to students. A poster design competition was

also conducted for the students. Prizes were distributed to the winners and the programme ended by

4 pm.

• June 11: Valicheriyal Muktha Campus- Gramam- Nagaram Project: This is university

project indeed very important message for today’s world. Our NSS unit conducted a rally inside and

outside the campus exhibiting posters and placards indicating the message. With college principal’s

permission, volunteers visited all class rooms and conveyed the message of the programme.
