Q&A1. EAST modular UPS static bypass is decentralized controlled, how about the reliability compared with centralized bypass ?
Although centralized bypass control is simple and easy to implement, but single point of
failure can‘t be ignored ,that is why we decide to use decentralized bypass . Currently in
the industry , Eaton, Sakmann, Granville and other modular UPS are all used in a
decentralized bypass technology.

2 O l h i t li bilit f EAST d l UPS?2. Only one charger is not reliability for EAST modular UPS?
If the charger is dispersed in each power module, once the internal charger is
damaged or short circuit the power module also fails the module does not workdamaged or short circuit, the power module also fails, the module does not work,
with a decline of carrying capacity, which will affect the availability of the entire
system. EAST UPS can use 2 charger for redundancy,200KVA or less can have 2

chargers, power more than 200KVA can have 4 chargers parallel.
