They also produce oil from a gland near their tails, which they use to provide a waterproof coat for their feathers. Have a super weekend xxx Word of the Day: Wistful Adjective: like the sad feeling you get from some memories Similar Words: sad, longing, nostalgic Example: Shang High clutched his childhood teddy bear and let out a wistful sigh Here are some challenge cards that will use a whole range of your maths skills and knowledge. The cards have a star system in the top corner which indicates ability level from 1 to 3. You can complete as many as you wish. Top tip - read the question carefully, maybe even two or three times and think about or discuss what mathematical knowledge you are being asked to use and the best way to solve the problem. Word of the Day: Wistful Adjective: like the sad feeling you get from some memories Similar Words: sad, longing, nostalgic Example: Shang High clutched his childhood teddy bear and let out a wistful sigh

Here are some challenge cards that will use a whole range of your maths skills and knowledge. The cards have a star system in the top corner which indicates ability level from 1 to 3. You can complete as many as you wish. Top tip - read the question carefully, maybe even two or three times and think about or discuss what mathematical knowledge you are being asked to use and the best way to solve the problem. Dress up Friday with Joe Wicks

This week we thought we would set a piece of work that we usually set as a homework piece. This may keep you busy for a while, so we won’t set any other creative pieces of work for the next week. It would be fabulous if you are able to send us a picture of your finished habitat box! We can then display your learning altogether (just like we do at school) but via the blog so you can see what your friends are up to! Again, this is an optional piece. We know some of you will do other creative learning at home. Please see below for further information and examples.

Animal Habitat in a Shoebox!  Can you create an animal habitat in a shoebox? Maybe do some research first to see which habitat to do. Click on this BBC link for ideas...Habitats and the environment - KS1 Science You do not need to use a shoebox. Instead you could use a cereal, food box or empty cardboard box. You could even create a 2D piece on card or paper. Think carefully about the animals that live in your chosen habitat. We know it might be tricky to find some of the resources. Maybe you could explore your garden for some resources e.g. soil, grass, leaves, sand, sticks… Here are some examples…
