Our e-portfolio definition:

An e-portfolio or electronic portfolio is a collection of purposefully brought together electronic records and documents (files), which is managed by the learning and working individual.

Target of the project: Reaching an agreement allowing exchange of e-portfolios within and between educational institutions, labor and employment permit.

What is an architecture?

IEEE (P1471): A architecture describes the consistency between the components and there relations with the surrounding and the principles describes the design.

• An individual owns there e-portfolio data. • An e-portfolio has to support the use in more than one

It Works - AlesconProject objective

The overall objective of the project is to make the exchange of information between the information systems of the company, the school or the employability provider with a portfolio system, so that the employees get their ePortfolio filled delivered.

The Results

A good and reliable method of exchange portfolio data between companies, education and employability service providers.

All relevant information which is already stored by one of the partners is available in the ePortfolio of the employee.

All results of tests, assessments and accreditation of prior learning (APL) can be exchanged with the ePortfolio.

The employees receive a user-friendly and filled out ePortfolio.

The purpose of this pilot project is to allow students to pass information about themselves and their qualifications to the job market, enabling a smooth recruitment procedure.

The results

1) input files have been imported; changes have been made, followed by succesful exports according to the IMS eP specification.

2) students are able to export their eP; a significant recruitment agency is able to import their portfolios.

3) the recruitment agency is able to export testimonies to the student’s portfolio

Flow portfolio - HanzehogeschoolProject objective

Competency Based Learning = students have to prove their competencies by means of assessments and/or portfolios

A portfolio used in organisation A is only partially relevant for organisation B: competencies of degree courses differ!

This project aims at using (importing) several e-portfolios for competency assesment and exporting the results to other e-portfolios

Portfolio viewer: a student can import all his e-portfolios and upload files from anywhere

Competency Assessment: organisation makes competency profile and assessments for students/assessors to assess online, using portfolios/files as proof

Collecting info about the volunteer – KNSB Project objective

KNSB (the dutch Ice skating association) creates the possibility for (life long) learners to use information about their competences with (senior) secondary vocational education (MBO).

KNSB and the participating MBO-schools recognize each others overlapping skills.

The results

KNSB and the Secondary voculation education have made an agreement about overlapping skills (students with the right skills

in their e-portfolio don’t have to do that skill over again when

starting a new course)

3 of 4 participating learning platforms achieved building an e-portfolio function. The 4th has a possibility for exchanging information but not equal to

e-portfolio-standards.
