ABOUT ME
I was born on 27th
April, 1991 at Ahmedabad. I began my swimming in
early 1999. At the age of 9, I started winning medals at state level
competitions. Later, at the age of 12, I won my first national medal in
swimming. Along with swimming, I was also a national player of
Aquathlon, a combination game of swimming and running. In 2006 when I
won Gold medal in National Aquathlon Championship with a huge lead,
ITF (Indian Triathlon Federation) gave me a chance to participate in
Triathlon event which was on the very next day. I was not having any bike,
so I had hired a labour’s ordinary bike & won my 1st
Gold medal in
Triathlon with good timing which had left everyone surprised. Since then I
am captivated by Triathlon. Till date I have won more than 210 medals, of
which 169 are of swimming which also includes sea swimming of 30 Kms
and the rest are of Triathlon. I’m proud to say that I’ve been crowned as
National Triathlon Champion 7 times.
TRIATHLON

continuous and sequential endurance disciplines, starting with swimming
followed by a bike segment and finishing off with a run - in immediate
succession over various distances.

JOURNEY WITH TRIATHLON
Since I was 15 (10 years ago!!), I had got immersed in the world of
Triathlon. In year 2006, through my 1st
National Gold medal in triathlon,
the Gujarat State Triathlon Association gave me a chance to participate in
33rd
National Games held at Assam in 2007. Fortunately, there also I have
won gold medal and had become the first Triathlete from Gujarat to win
Gold medal at National Games. With two gold medals, I got hooked to
Triathlon. Subsequently, I have won many National Triathlon
Championships in India. This was a stepping stone which led to my
selection in Asian Championship, held at China. In July 2009, I won Bronze
medal in Jr. Asian Triathlon Cup, held at Kokshetau, Kazakhstan; which was
the first International medal ever won in Triathlon by India.
I then bagged Silver medal in Jr. Asian Triathlon Cup at Kazakhstan and
Bronze medal in Jr. Asian Triathlon Cup, held at Incheon, Korea in 2010.
These achievements led me to be the first female Triathlete who
represented India at 16th Asian Games, held at Guangzhou, China. Since
then, I have participated in many International events and won medals
too. In year 2013, I got selected for 1st
South Asian Triathlon
Championship held at Pokhra, Nepal where I earned my 1st
Gold medal at
International level. Since then, I am the only Triathlete in India to win
Gold medals at International level for subsequently 3 years.
PLAYER TO COACH
When I was an athlete, initially triathlon was not so popular sport in India
but with my achievements and participation in ITU races, it started getting
popular. During my entire career, I faced the challenge of not having any
triathlon specific coach in India and it took me very long to learn tactics.
That’s when I decided to become a coach, right after my retirement from
my competitive career. In mid-2016, with the help of my brother I started
a multi-sports academy named PC TRI SPORTS ACADEMY. Currently I’m
the only Triathlon Coach in India with ITU Level 2 certification. In Year
2017 I was appointed as a coach to train Junior Asian Team at Malaysia &
Indonesia and then I am appointed as the National Head Coach of Indian
Triathlon Team.
