    Come Spend the Day with

    Me

Recently, there was a revivalat a local church and thevisiting evangelist told the

    following experience to thecongregation.

I am a busy man, likemost pastors, with a schedulefilled with visits to make, preaching to do, and so on.But my son called me up justthe other day and said, Dad,I m up here at th iscampground and I would lovefor you to come spend the day

with me just to fish. Well, hedidnt have to ask twice andmy wife didnt bat an eyelashwhen I told her that I wasdropping all my plans becausemy son called and wants tospend the day with me! Youknow, we had the best timetogether that day...just fishingand talking and being togeth-

er. Nothing could havewarmed my heart more thanto have my son call and askme to spend the day with him.

Well, early this morning, when it was still dark out, Iawoke as usual to begin my

day and I my heavenly Father, who knew how much I hadenjoyed yesterday with myson, said to me, Earl, whydont you invite me to spendthe day with you?

Oh how my heartjumped with the realization ofhow blessed my HeavenlyFather would feel if I called toHim and asked Him to spend

the day with me; not becauseI needed something from Him,but just because I wanted tobe with Him! So guess what? Iasked Him to come spend thewhole day with me and He did.And we had the best timetogether! And guess whatelse? Im gonna do it againtomorrow!

    Have you called your

Heavenly Father just to askHim to spend the day withyou? Try it and see how muchmore joy is in your day justbecause your Father, yourprotector, your confidant, theone who loves you regardlesswas by your side, just enjoyingyour company.

TEAMPray for this group as they are in

    Cameroon until May 31. They

are walking a lot at high alti-

    tudes (higher than Denver).

    They need prayer protecting

    them from Malaria and other

    parasites. Prayer is also needed

as they are learning to live with-

out the many comforts we takefor granted; running water and

    electricity. Continue to pray for

people to come forward to do

    Bible translations so Gods Word

can be taught in every corner of

    A Safe Haven

Dont ride in automobiles; they cause 20

percent of all fatal accidents. Dont stay

at home; 17 percent of all accidents

occur in the home. Dont walk on the

street or the sidewalk; 14 percent of all

    accidents happen to pedestrians. Dont

travel by air, rail or water; 16 percent of

    all accidents happen on these.

However, only 0.001 percent of alldeaths reported occur in worship

services. Therefore, the safest place for

you to be is in church. Sunday school is

    also relatively safe.
