Plan to attend & invite friends so we have a good crowd!

We still have 4 young men

CTI members that need ahost family.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to showhospitality to strangers, for by so do-ing some people have shown hospi-

    tality to angelswithout knowing it.

Here is a short "Getting To Know CTI 14:21" videofor those hosting team mem-

    bers. http://ctimusic.org/teams/fulltime-2012-2013/cti-1421/1295-meet-1421

    Jesus Himself warned:

Not everyone who says to me,Lord, Lord, will enter the king-dom of heaven, but only he whodoes the will of my Father who isin heaven. Many will say to meon that day, Lord, Lord, did wenot prophesy in your name, andin yourname drive out demonsand perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I

never knew you. Away from me,you evildoers! Matthew 7:21-23

When Jesus said these words, Hewasnt talking about irreligious

atheists, agnostics, pagans, andheretics. He was talking about

good, religious peoplemen andwomen associated with Jesus

    who assumed their eternity was

safe and would one day beshocked to find that it wasnt.Though they professed belief inJesus and even did all kinds ofwork in His name, they never

    truly knew Him.D. Platt

    A Lesson for Dr. Fosdick

Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick was a preacher, scholar and teacher whoserved Riverside Church in New York City in the first half of the 20thcentury. While walking one day, he stopped to talk with a young womanand her 4-year-old daughter. As the conversation drew to a close, thepreacher told the little girl to tell her father that she had spoken to Dr.

    Harry Emerson Fosdick.

The child responded by saying, Tell your mother that you talked to SusieSmith.

Bible QuizWhat did Jesus say about the proper way

to pray? Choose the correct answer be-

    low:

    A. Go to a public place and witness by

praying where others can hear you.

    B. Go to a private place such as yourroom, shut the door and spend quiet time

    with God.

    C. Diligently prepare ahead of time the

words you wish to use in prayer, write

them out and then read them to God.

(The answer is in Matthew 6:5-6, NRSV.)
