Water (H2O), is essential for human survival and well-being and important to many sectors of the economy. However, resources are irregularly distributed in space and time, and they are under pressure due to human activity. Ninety-six percent of liquid fresh water can be found underground. Groundwater is water that occurs below the surface of the Earth, where it occupies spaces in P R A R soils or geologic strata. It feeds springs and streams, supports wetlands, helps keep land surfaces stable, and is a critical water resource. More than 25 percent of the population of Puerto Rico was served by groundwater public supply systems. Camp Santiago and Fort Allen population is serving by groundwater. In order to control the quality of this important resource, policies regarding groundwater are implemented on PR and all USA states The requirements are highly variable from place to place Some set N G W states. Many but not all states require permits for drilling and producing from wells. CSTS have 2 wells that are regulated by the PR Health Department for its use, with a unique identification number. All the population at both training sites can contribute to diminish the possible contamination of this important resource. This goal can be reach avoiding spills of products such as gasoline, oil, road salts, and chemicals to the soil that can get into the groundwater, and cause it to become unsafe and unfit for human use. WATER, is the liquid that descends from the clouds as rain, forms streams,lakes, and seas, and is a major constituent of all living matter.
