A LISTSERV is a wonderful communication tool that offers it's members the opportunity to post suggestions or questions to a large number of people at the same time. When you submit a question or something that you want to share to the listserv, your submission is sent to all of the other people on that list. Each listserv targets pre-determined topics and discussions. Your query may not be appropriate for that listserv. By monitoring your listserv for a few days, you'll be able to tell what are acceptable submissions. Visit this webpage and join one of their listservs listed:
Lists (Mailing Lists)Lists (Mailing Lists)
They may be called mailing lists, computer mailing lists, or computer discussion lists. A list has a central address (list address), which distributes messages ("posts" or "postings") sent by any list member to all of the list members. Therefore if, for example, you want to express an opinion about a topic related to the topic of the list, you send it to the list address. Your post is distributed to everyone on the list, and anyone who wants to can respond to your opinion. If you want to ask a question, you can send your question to the list, and someone on the list who knows the answer might send you the information.
