Principle : spam & DM communications require prior consent

Automatic calls : opt-in !

Problem for call centers lobby ongoing

Voice-to-voice calls : Member State can opt for a solution that gives consumers the

right to object to the reception of marketing calls e.g. by registering on a

do-not-call list !

Marketing callers will need to display their phone number or use a special

prefix number that indicates a marketing call : up to every Member State

Boek VI van het Wetboek Economisch Recht . Dit nieuwe Boek VI vervangt sinds eind

juni 2014, de Wet Marktpraktijken en Consumentenbescherming

Betrekking op het verzet van personen & bedrijven tegen het gebruik

van zijn/haar telefoonnummer(s) voor redenen van direct marketing

Geen betrekking op neutrale enquêtes en informatieve calls

(bv. levering van een bestelling, technische assistentie)

Verzet is gratis en kan via telefoon, brief, e-mail en website

Van toepassing op zowel klanten als prospecten
