One transformer unit is located by the Department to control the power supply to a group of consumers of a particular locality. It maintains the consumer status of that area. By the introduction of energy monitor system, the following facilities can be obtained which will gear up the preservation of the existing transformer, which are frequently attended being defective and trouble some. 1. Power out put can be limited.2. Less pressure on the transmitter.3. Consumer cannot alter the load of energy without the knowledge of the authority.4. Over-loading and the misuse of energy can be checked and controlled systematically.

e-EMB (e-ENERGY METERING BOX)

This is a portable box of size 16x 14 x 4On the Electric pole, on the Roadside, a group of consumers’ units are set up in the e-EMB. The box contains connections and lining for each consumer with a codified number meant for each consumer. There is also provision for connecting to 8 consumers,16 consumers, 32 consumers and 64 consumers in one e-EMB.It works as mini-energy-exchange.

This box has the provision of controlling individual consumer units and treatedas controlling unit for all. This box is fed by Mini-Energy-Exchange that is called the mother-feeding unit. It also contains a specially devised circuit that helps to record reading in a LCD screen.
