Dear Lion Shaileshbhai, Greetings.. Received your mail regarding e bulletin, it's just ...Impressive, Innovative, Interesting, Informative... CONGRATULATIONS... ... -Ln. Heena Jani
In today’s information age, we are continuously bombarded with details about the physical aspects of what we eat and the effects that
different ingredients may or may not have on us, and naturally this is important. But in this heap of information, we tend to overlook
one crucial factor: the consciousness (state of mind) of the person cooking and the effect that this will have upon the food, and thus
also on those who eat it. A cook prepares food in a physical place, but also in a spiritual or inner space. And just as the physical
surroundings are best kept clean and in order, so should be the state of mind of those in the kitchen. A simple and familiar example of
this concept at work can be seen in the way that home cooking, especially that of one’s mother, holds a special place in our hearts. The
love and care with which it is prepared sometimes gives us more joy than perhaps food eaten in a restaurant setting where food may be
prepared with greater technical skills but where stress, arrogance and greed may flavor the dish of the day.
When the subtle, spiritual aspect of cooking is taken into consideration, the role of the cook extends from simply creating tasty,
nourishing meals with fresh ingredients, to including a spiritual connection with those who will be eating that food. The aim will be to
touch and fill the heart as well as the palate and stomach. The love of the cook, and his or her motivation to offer sustenance, will
nourish as much as the chemical components of each dish. Food cooked by a person who is angry, depressed or full of arrogance or
hatred will have a different effect from food cooked with feelings of love, peace and the pure desire to serve. In other words, we are
what we eat but also the thoughts and attitudes that go into what we are eating. Even in today's demanding society, when there seems
to be hardly enough time to cook, let alone do so peacefully and caringly, it is therefore definitely beneficial to develop a positive
attitude towards cooking. Before undertaking any food preparation, remind yourself that the project at hand can and should be an
enjoyable, creative activity, rather than an unpleasant, time-consuming activity. A good practice, then, is to meditate before cooking and
then to let preparing the meal itself be a creative, meditative experience which yields a balanced, health-promoting diet for the body as
a temple for the soul. Food always tastes better when it has been flavored with love and happiness.
. Expressing gratitude in this way serves to increase the spiritual quality of the food and deepen the individual's personal relationship
with the Divine, while also creating a powerful, shared spiritual experience. On a very practical level, it will also help the body to prepare
itself to receive and digest food. Of course, the last step is to eat, and this, too, is best done in a peaceful, unhurried and harmonious
state of mind and environment: we are what we eat and also how we eat.
The information which we have shared does not pretend to be a complete guide to cooking with a spiritual touch. However, whether you
are a new, aspiring or trained cook, we hope that the information, with its emphasis on the soul as well as the body, will bring an added
dimension to your kitchen and dining table. Cooking, and eating, should be a joyful and significant experience. So cook and enjoy!

Quick Tips to Improve Self Confidence Here are some quick tips to improve your Self Confidence. If we are committed to have a healthy self confidence there are many things you can do every
day to boost your self confidence, each small steps that will help you to reach your goal. The good news is that self-esteem is not fixed and can be
improved, try some of the steps below to boost your confidence and self-esteem.
1) Identify your successes. Everyone is good at something, so discover the things at which you excel, then focus on your talents. Give yourself permission
to take pride in them. Give yourself credit for your successes. Inferiority is a state of mind in which you've declared yourself a victim. Do not allow yourself
to be victimized.
2) Look in the mirror and smile. Studies surrounding what's called the "facial feedback theory" suggest that the expressions on your face can actually
encourage your brain to register certain emotions. So by looking in the mirror and smiling every day, you might feel happier with yourself and more
confident in the long run.
3) Exercise and eat healthy. Exercise raises adrenaline and makes one feel happier and healthier. It is certainly an easy and effective way to boost your self-
confidence.
4) Turn feelings of envy or jealousy into a desire to achieve. Stop wanting what others have just because they have it; seek things simply because you want
them, whether anybody else has them or not. {mosgoogle left}
5) When you're feeling superbly insecure, write down a list of things that are good about you. Then read the list back. You'd be surprised at what you can
come up with.
6) Don't be afraid to push yourself a bit - a little bit of pressure can actually show just how good you are!
7) You can try taking a martial arts or fitness class/course (or both). This will help build confidence and strength.
8) Invest in some new clothing and donate some of your old clothing to send a message to yourself that you both
look sharp and feel sharp.
9) Try to make yourself talk positively at all times. When you hear yourself saying you can't do something, stop
and say you can. Unless you try, you will never know whether you are able to or not.
10) Don't get wrapped up in your mistakes and dwell on bad points; they can contrast your good points or even give
you something to improve. There's no feeling like being good at something you were really bad at.
11) Don't confuse what you have with who you are. People degrade their self worth when comparing possessions.
12) Surround yourself with nurturing friends, not overly critical individuals who make you feel inadequate or insecure.
This could do great harm and damage to your self confidence.
“Life has to have a destination. You decide what you want and the best way to get there, no matter how long
it takes. Dreams are hard work…there are no shortcuts. Think about the end result and persevere until you
achieve them. If it takes one year or ten years, it doesn’t matter. Dreams are more important than how long
they take or what fears you may have”
Congratulations…

Vision Statement To be the global leader in community and

What is blood pressure?
When your heart beats, it pumps blood round
your body to give it the energy and oxygen it
needs. As the blood moves, it pushes against
the sides of the blood vessels. The strength of
this pushing is your blood pressure. If your
blood pressure is too high, it puts extra strain
on your arteries (and your heart) and this may
lead to heart attacks and strokes.
How you can tell if you have high blood
pressure
Having high blood pressure (hypertension) is
not usually something that you feel or notice.
It does not tend to produce obvious signs or
symptoms. The only way to know what your
blood pressure is, is to have it measured.
Blood pressure is measured in 'millimeters of
mercury' (mmHg) and is written as two
numbers. For example, if your reading is 120/80
mm Hg, your blood pressure is '120 over 80'.
What do the numbers mean?
Every blood pressure reading consists of two
numbers or levels. They are shown as one
number on top of the other.
The first (or top) number is your systolic blood
pressure. It is the highest level your blood
pressure reaches when your heart beats.
The second (or bottom) number is your
diastolic blood pressure. It is the lowest level
your blood pressure reaches as your heart
relaxes between beats.
Keep your blood pressure low
Even if you do not have high blood pressure
at the moment, it is important to keep your
blood pressure as low as you can. The higher
your blood pressure, the higher your risk of
health problems.
For example, a blood pressure of 135 over 85
may be "normal" but someone with this
reading is twice as likely to have a heart attack
or stroke as someone with a reading of 115
over 75.
What is normal blood pressure?
Ideally, we should all have a blood pressure
below 120 over 80 (120/80). This is the ideal
blood pressure for people wishing to have good
health. At this level, we have a much lower risk
of heart disease or stroke.
If your blood pressure is optimal, this is great
news. By following our healthy living advice, you
will be able to keep it this way.
If your blood pressure is above 120/80 mm Hg,
you will need to lower it.
Most adults have blood pressure readings in the
range from 120 over 80 (120/80) to 140 over 90
(140/90). If your blood pressure is within this
range, you should be taking steps to bring it
down or to stop it rising any further.
The reason why people with blood pressure
readings in this range should lower it, even
though this is not classified as 'high' blood
pressure, is that the higher your blood pressure,
the higher your risk of health problems. For
example, someone with a blood pressure level
of 135 over 85 (135/85) is twice as likely to have
a heart attack or stroke as someone with a
reading of 115 over 75 (115/75).
