DYNASAFE Demil SystemsDYNASAFE is the leading supplier for explosion containment systems. Since it was founded in 1991 more than

300 systems have been delivered to customers in approximately 50 countries worldwide. DYNASAFE supplies

standardized containment chambers of a variety of sizes as well as customized systems from small to very

large.

DYNASAFE Munitions Destruction

There is an increasing demand for sound solutions for munitions destruction to meet strict international safety and environmental standards. Environmental awareness has led to a situation where destruction or disposal of munitions by open air burning is no longer acceptable in many parts of the world.

DYNASAFE designs and builds environmentally accep-table demilitarization facilities for destroying conven-tional and chemical weapons around the world. Our systems are designed to flexibly handle munitions ranging from small arms up to the large calibers. The systems are supported by minimal infrastructure, making their deployment to remote regions of the world practical and cost-effective.

DYNASAFE demilitarization facilities are tailored to address Client requirements for a given site; and com-ponents are selected based on their ability to safely, completely, and cost-effectively demilitarize the items to be destroyed.

DYNASAFE provides solutions which are mobile, semi-mobile or stationary in combination with the required off-gas treatment systems. The technologies applied for munitions destruction are Static Detonation Chambers (SDC) and Controlled Detonation Chambers (CDC). Static Detonation Chamber (SDC)

The SDC series of equipment is designed for the safe destruction of ammunition and ammunition compo-nents.

The SDC is an indirect heated detonation chamber; where munitions are fed through an automated loading system and heated until the explosives burn, deflagrate, or detonate. This process does not require expensive or dangerous disassembly procedures on most munitions, and does not require counter-charges. As a result, munitions destruction rates are much higher than competing processes.

The SDC is very flexible and can handle various types of explosive devices such as fuses, mines, detonators, blasting caps, small arms, anti-aircraft ammunition, mortars, explosives, hand-grenades and even larger conventional and chemical munitions without prior disassembling. Acceptable munitions fills include high explosive (HE), chemical agent, incendiary, smoke, and

illumination munitions, all without requiring reconfigu-ration of the unit.

Metal scrap resulting from the destruction is thermally treated inside the SDC as an integral part of the process and is safe for public release once removed from the SDC. The exhaust gas from the SDC passes through a pollution control system.Static Detonation Chambers are available in different sizes up to very high throughput rates. Mobile or stationary versions are available.

Munition Destruction System (MDS)

The DYNASAFE MDS system is based on the same principle as the SDC system. It is an indirectly heated

armored destruction chamber used to fully destroy explosives and energetic materials. The MDS system is designed to process smaller calibers, dismantled munition parts and munitions not containing any toxic or aggressive substances (such as tear gas or chlorine). The systems can be mobile, semi-mobile or stationary as well as containerized. Munitions scrap resulting from treatment in the MDS is free of explosives.

Dismantling

DYNASAFE offers a wide range of munitions dismantling equipment such as band saws, water jet cutters, melt out systems, safety containment systems and custo-mized remotely operated equipment for preparation and dismantling of different types of munitions.

Off-Gas Treatment System (OGT)

The DYNASAFE SDC uses indirect heat, where heat trans-fer gasses never come into contact with the waste am-munition. This results in a dramatic volume reduction of off-gas for treatment, allowing for smaller, less expensive and more efficient off-gas treatment systems.

DYNASAFE provides off-gas treatment systems capable of meeting or exceeding the world‘s most stringent environmental regulations. The systems can be mobile, semi-mobile and stationary as well containerized.

DYNASAFE off gas-treatment systems are also available as upgrades or replacements for already existing muni-tions destruction systems.
