The Source boilies are the brainchild of Dynamite Baits and Terry Hearn. Since its creation in 2002, it has caught carp in over 30 countries worldwide, probably making it the best selling boilie in the world!

During its creation we set out to make a high protein boilie containing the highest quality ingredients. ‘A bait that Terry would have supreme confi dence in when targeting some of the most prized carp in the UK’ This is a philosophy that has been paying off for Terry and other anglers to this day.

So what is it that has made this bait so successful year after year when other baits have blown? We believe this is down to the premium ingredients that go into making this boilie. This starts with an LT fishmeal that is packed with the essential amino acids that are a key element of a carps diet and those which they actively seek. It also contains a blend of Haith’s® bird foods including Red Factor, adding nutritional value, essential oils and a texture which carp love. Importantly it also gives the fi nal boilie a texture that allows the attractants to leak out and disperse into the water. A special spice blend rounds off the base mix including Robin Red®, which not only gives the bait its distinctive colour but also enhances the baits fl avour profi le. The goodness

One of the products we are really excited about is our new Hardened Hookbaits. Terry has always been a fi rm believer that boilies with a soft texture catch more Carp. Firstly they contain less binding ingredients that fi ll carp up, meaning they will feed in your baited area for longer. Secondly, keeping a softer texture also means we can cook the baits less, retaining more of their nutritional value which can be altered under intense heat. This is great for feed baits, but if you want to leave a rig undisturbed for many hours you may want a hookbait that’s more robust. So with that said, rather than just drying down boilies to make our hardened hookbaits, we have developed a recipe that retains all The Source goodness and provides a 48 hour breakdown. Added to this they can be hair rigged with your standard baiting needle – no need for bait drills. This means you can have total confi dence that when the Carp turn up, your hookbait will be as good as it was when it entered the water.

The Source boilie range has been helping anglers to catch fi sh since it was fi rst developed over a decade ago. Terry Hearn and the Dynamite product development team set out to create our fi rst boilie range way back in 2002 and spent over a year seeking out the ingredients and tweaking and testing the recipe, until they were confi dent that this would be a bait to stand the test of time.

In early 2013 we received a new fruit based feed inducing palatant that upon testing produced a reaction so strong we were almost lost for words. Test batches of bait were rolled using this unique fruit palatant, but as soon as we tried it on our incredible Monster Tiger Nut recipe we knew we had a match made in heaven! It smelt epic!... creating the most amazing sweet, creamy, nutty and fruity aroma you could imagine.

The fi nished bait was rolled in a tricky ‘washed-out’ pink colour and sent out to our team of consultants. HOW TO: MAKE YOUR OWN CRAVE CORK BALL POP-UPS

Cork ball pop ups have become increasingly popular for carp fi shing in recent years with anglers wanting super buoyant food baits to hold Chod and Hinged Stiff rigs up for longer

periods of time. By making your own the possibilities you can create are literally endless, different sizes, levels of attraction, breakdown rate, the list goes on. The key is to create small

batches until you have a fi nished article that suits your needs.

Step 1: Crack an egg into a mixing bowl and pour the liquid provided into your egg and give it a whisk. Gently sprinkle the dry base mix into the liquid, mixing as you go.

Step 2: Constantly stir everything together until it becomes diffi cult to mix with a fork. Begin to kneed the paste until it forms a tacky ball of paste and you are happy with the consistency.

Step 3: Take a pinch of paste and form a thin layer around the ball.

Step 4: They don’t necessarily have to be perfectly round, all a fi sh cares about is how good it tastes!

Step 5: Bring a pan of water to boil and place a handful of your baits into the water. How long you boil them for is down to how thick your layer of paste is and how quickly you want them to break down.

Step 7: It’s best to tie your hook bait onto your rig using bait fl oss rather than piercing the skin. If you crack open your fi nished pop up it should look a little something like this.

Step 6: Once ready, remove your baits and leave them to dry.

Tip 2These baits still have the same sink rate as a standard bottom bait, which ensures that they can be used on all of your favourite rigs and presentations.

Tip 1Even though our Hardened Hookbaits are hard to withstanding all nuisance species, they are still perfect for using with a baiting needle without the chance of splitting.

When we set out with our specialist feed experts to produce the Swim Stim pellets, we had a goal to make the best commercial carp pellets possible. We didn’t want to base these on standard carp pellets, we wanted pellets that would draw carp in and contain all the right ingredients to hold fi sh for as long as possible.
