Apostles are bridge-building pioneers who like to “do it new”. They tend to be focused externally, think creatively, develop new approaches to outreach, and take calculated risks. They yearn to see lives changed.


Prophets are pondering investigators who like to “do it better”. They tend to be focused externally and internally, think analytically, evaluate better and more correct ways of functioning, and question the status quo. They yearn for discernment.


Evangelists are impetuous advancers who like to “do it now”. They tend to be focused externally, act passionately, persuade non-believers to accept Christ and believers to share their faith, and focus on achievement. They yearn to see the kingdom grow.


Pastors are relational shepherds who like to “do it together”. They tend to be focused internally, build relationships, disciple or integrate others into the group, and focus on involvement. They yearn for teamwork.


Teachers are organized establishers who like to “do it right”. They tend to be focused internally, think in terms of structure, train or instruct others, and organize processes for maximum efficiency. They yearn for competency and consistency.
