WHY TAKE THE CAMBRIDGE FIRST?
Passing the exam shows that you can use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate
level. Cambridge First is ideal for those who wish to use English for study and work and is widely recognised
as proof of language ability by industry and educational institutions, both in Britain and abroad.
The course:
Gives students the opportunity to practise speaking, listening, reading and writing
Provides appropriate vocabulary and develops grammar and language skills
Helps improve study skills
Builds fluency and exam confidence
MATERIALS
Students taking this course will receive a copy of a Cambridge First course book published by Cambridge
University Press for the most authoritative exam preparation available. This will include a CD-ROM which
provides interactive grammar, vocabulary and writing skills activities for further practice.
EXAMS
Optional – The exam can be taken in the last week of the course at a supplement of £165.00 per entrant. We
are happy to organise the exam in Canterbury as part of the course; alternatively you can plan and book the
exam in your own country. Exam Dates 29th July 2021.
This is a course designed for students who have been studying towards the Cambridge First exam in their
own country. Students can join the course for 3 or 4 weeks with the option of sitting the exam. Students will
receive practice materials, regular assessments and self-study guidance. The exam can be taken during the
final week of the course.
