• Also known as plant lice.

• Are small sap sucking insects, and

members of the superfamily Aphidoidea.

• Aphids can damage the plant by depriving

the tissues of vital nutrients.

• Some ants live with aphids in mutually

beneficial relations.

• Aphids reproduce asexually and sexually.

• To develop the proper skills for microscope observation.

• To observe aphids through light microscopy.

• Aphids were collected in a Green House in Utuado.

• Using the dissecting microscope to see the insect.

• Place a drop of oil on the insect to keep it from moving.

• Magnify to 5.6 in order to see clearly.

• And photographs were taken.

• Aphids were very difficult to observed because they were

constantly moving.
