M Y THOUGHTS ARE THAT ONE IS ABLE TO PICK UP DESIGN ELEMENTS BEST BY COMMING INTO CONTACT WITH THEM. F OR THIS DESIGN I WANTED TO PLAY WITH CLEAN LINES AS WELL AS GIVE THE BUILDING SOME INTERESTING CURVILINEAR ELEMENTS THAT WOULD CREATE A BEAUTIFUL CONTRAST. T HE RED COLOUR ON THE WALL ADDS A PLAYFULNESS TO THE MORE ELEGANT BLACK AND WHITE SHADES OF THE BUILDING AND THEREFORE IS ABLE TO BRING OUT THE POSITIVE CONTRASTING ELEMENTS OF THE DESIGN. T HE MARRIAGE OF ALL THE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS IN THE DESIGN HELP CREATE A 'WOW FACTOR' IN RELATION TO THE CONSERVATIVE TERTIARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES. T HIS ARCHITECTURE IS DESIGNED TO FIT IN WITH ITS SURROUNDING BUILDINGS YET STAND OUT FROM THE REST. I WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS BY USING THE LINEAR PATTERNS FROM THE OTHER BUILDINGS AND INCORPORATING A SPLASH OF INTERESTING COLOUR AND ADDING WILD ELEMENTS TO THE FACADES.
