Nagpal did not demolish a wall of any religious structure, in fact there was no religious structure in place. on being warned by Ms. Nagpal of the structure being constructed on government land, the local residents decided to dismantle the constructed wall themselves.

The report called Nagpal's actions "blemish-free". The report also says that there was no communal tension or the possibility of any clashes between religious communities.

As per the IAS association’s data, over 100 such suspensions in 20 years puts UP at the top of the list in punishing honest officers .

100 out of the 105 suspensions in UP had to be withdrawn after no real evidence of the officers’ wrongdoings could be put on record.

A 60% Of such suspensions took place during the Mayawati regime.35%have been suspended during SP rule.

Blame it on unprofessional work culture or political interference, in the last 10 years, 181 IAS officers have left their jobs to join big corporate houses.

SUGGESTIONS DOPT may revisit rules that outlines procedure for disciplinary action against an officer of the service.

A minimum tenure should be ensured so that they can efficiently and fearlessly do their job.

Mandatory show-cause notice should be served to an officer seeking his or her explanation within a specified timeframe before suspension.
