What is ICELT ? It is an In-service Certificate English Language Teaching Course offered by Cambridge ESOL, UK Who is ICELT for ? It is for teachers who are teaching, or aspiring to teach English to: 1) Primary 2) Secondary 3) Tertiary students 4) Adult learners ICELT is an important stepping stone in your career as a teacher. It is awarded by Cambridge ESOL, a part of the Cambridge University, UK . ICELT is internationally recognized, highly respected and a benchmark for quality teacher training. Rehmat Ebrahim has been associated

with learning and development for the last

twenty years. She is a certified online

teacher trainer from London University

School of Lifelong Learning. Ms. Ebrahim

holds a Masters in Teaching English as a

Foreign Language (MA TEFL) and an MA

in General History. She has also completed

a number of management training courses including Training

of Trainers and is an RSA-COTE and ICELT tutor at

SPELT.

Dr. Bushra Ahmed Khurram teaches applied linguistics at the Department of English, University of Karachi. She has worked for Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development as a researcher; curriculum developer as well as for British Council and Higher Education Commission Pakistan as a

course developer. Dr. Bushra has also worked as an ELT teacher trainer at a national and international institution She has published two books and over 60 articles and papers.

Huma M Thaver,, is a seasoned and resilient educationist with over 20 years of teaching, teacher training and material development experience. Beside Masters in Applied Linguistics and Education from Karachi University and a post graduate certification in critical thinking in EFL from Oregon University, she is an M Phil Schol-

ar. She has been the course tutor for ICELT, ETTE, TKT and other English ELT courses from platforms, such as the British Council, SPELT, US Embassy, BSS, SIE, etc. As a Life Member of SPELT, she has been the Conference, Workshop Coordinator and is now the SPELT Journal Coordinator. trainer by profession, Aneesa Mumtaz is the retired

Principal of St. Patrick's College of Education,

Karachi. She works as freelance English Language

Prof. Zakia Sarwar has 40 years’

experience of teaching language and

literature. She is a teacher educator,

materials’ writer and has done classroom

research on suitable materials and

strategies for EFL learners for over two

the SPELT Newsletter/ Journal since its inception. She
