Th e DuraLITE aluminum dock design combines form with function in one of the strongest aluminum dock frames available on the market. Everything about the DuraLITE is designed to be easy, low maintenance, strong and more attractive. Its external frame has a unique track, built in for convenient attachment of ac-cessories and connecting brackets for joining sections together. With easy to carry frames and removable deck panels, installation could be done by one or two people. Th is is our premium dock for use in medium to large water bodies, or for bigger recreational boats.

Removable deck panels provide easier portability and prevention of damage from impending storm surges.

All stationary sections come with built in corner sockets for holding dock legs fl ush to the frame for a clean outer edge. Th e deep sockets stabilize the legs and help keep legs plumb during installation. Galvanized steel legs can be driven into the mud or sand, providing a fi rm platform for tying boats.

Made in Maine for the harsh conditions of big water, fresh or salt, the DuraLITE superior strength comes from heavy duty 6” tubular frames, off ering maximum resistance to fl exing from vertical load and twisting forces. Compare this to channel and truss frame style docks which have very little resistance to twisting forces.

Sections of Dura-LITE join together, end to end, side to side, or end to side using the snap-on J-Brackets.Simply snap the J-Brackets onto the track of the frame to provide a ledger for the adjoining section.

Growing in popularity, perforated surfaces are becoming one of the top choices in decking for docks. Th ese Dura-Lite frames are slightly augmented in size to accomodate the standard sizes of Perforated decking, a resin based synthetic made with fi berglass reinforced polyethylene. Th e openings in the surface provide many advantages.

If you have a gradual slope and fi rm lake bottom, rolling docks make installation and removal a breeze. Th e ideal sizes for portability are the 4x16 sections with removable decking. One to two sections joined together can usually be moved by hand. Sections join together with a hinge shown below. If desired, sections can be separated at the hinge.

Our basic units come with two 5 foot legs per section and a wheel kit. Th e 24” wheels are made of tough polyethylene and have drain holes that allow them to sink. Longer dock legs and braces are available if necessary.

The FeatherLITE dock is ideal for most small water bodies where light boats are used, such as pontoon boats, alumi-num boats, and smaller fi berglass watercraft. While clas-sifi ed as our lightest weight dock, the FeatherLITE is still stronger than most aluminum docks on the market, with a 5” tall extruded frame that is tubular for superior strength against vertical loads and twisting.

Looking for safe access to your dock or the water? Our aluminum 3 foot wide stairs provide comfortable steps with a 7 inch rise, 12 inch run, a gradual 30º slope, anti-slip sur-face and optional hand rails. Place on a bank to the shore with the optional Shore Mount Kit (#9700) and a ramp that closes the gap between your path and the top tread. Stairs can be attached to the top of a sea-wall or attach to the side of a dock. Leveling legs at the bottom end are included. Th e stair treads are made with Per-forated decking, (fi berglass reinforced polypropylene) with a perforated surface that allows waves to break up through and its anti-slip texture feels good under your feet. DOCK PLANNINGFOR ALUMINUM STATIONARY DOCKS

IDEAL CONDITIONS: Stationary docks with proper installation provide excellent stability for everyone. Use a station-ary dock in water depths up to about 8 feet. For depths between 6-8 feet, added stability can be achieved with 6 foot wide sections, driving the pipe legs into the bottom 1-2 feet and or applying an “L” or “T” section. Stationary docks serve well in choppy water provided the dock is set high enough for waves to clear beneath.

BEST LOCATION: When choosing a location, consider property boundaries, stable bottom conditions, clearance from large rocks and other debris, adequate depths for a boat and swimming, proximity and visibility from the house and an approach that minimizes climbing.

MEASURING: When measuring for the dock, consider the total distance out onto the water required to reach depths necessary for your particular usage such as boating, swimming and soaking up the sun. Record the depths at every 10 feet out, or where Pipe Legs will stand, to plan the length of legs required.

A low profi le “Ramp” with ability to pivot up and down on the attachment points is used to span from land to the fi rst section of your dock making a perfect transition.

Th e Dock Step Adjustment Kit lets you lower sections near the deep end of the dock without lowering the entire system. Th is kit is useful should you decide to lower the dock on a body of water that drops throughout the boating season. Th e step down that results should not be more than 8 inches. If you need to lower the dock more, you can insert a Box Step(s) to make the transition.

Th e “Boarding Step” is another easysolution to gain access from your dock to waters that fl uctuate through out the dock season. Th e Boarding Step is a height ad-justable platform that extends off the side of the dock. It is designed for a 10’ section and mounts to the existing Pipe Legs.

Dura-LITE fl oating docks display Maine’s fi nest craft s-manship in metal trades. Th e sleek lines of the frame complimented by your choice of decking, natural red cedar or synthetic, add a unique elegance to your water-front.

Th e Dura-LITE fl oating docks are most helpful on water bodies that fl uctuate in level, keeping a constant height between the water line and the decking. Th ey are also an advantage in deep waters over 8 feet where stationary dock installations be-

come less stable. Th e frames are made with 6 inch marine grade aluminum tubular ex-trusions supported by rotationally molded polyethylene fl oatation. Th e box shaped fl oatation provides excellent displacement on the water and incredible stability.

Decking is made into panels that nest fl ush into the frame and are removable for portability and accessing utilities or anchor chains. Sections of dock connect together quickly and easily with our galvanized hinge plates which allow articulation, or with our Rigid Float Connector which inhibits articulation.

Ramps are a necessary component to transition be-tween a fi xed point such as a sea wall or fi xed pier. If the ramp is used to stand the fl oating dock off the fi xed point, then it should be reinforced with diagonal sup-port. Th e Rigid Ramp above, with decking removed, clearly shows the X-Brace reinforcement.
