Flutist, Carla Auld is a soloist and chamber musician who actively promotes the performance

and recording of new classical and cross-over music by New York area and international

composers. Ms. Auld’s first solo debut CD, “Beauty in America”, features the works of living

American composers and premieres two new works for flute and orchestra. The CD is

available under MSR Classics record label and has been described as "entirely captivating and

impressive". Jerry Dubbins from FanFare Magazine called it " ... Beguiling ... perfect technical

command ... music made for listening ease and pleasure.”

Ms. Auld is a founding member of the ensemble UpTown Flutes, winners of the Artist

International Chamber Music Award, which included a performance at Carnegie Hall in 2002.

She also performs in the flute and voice ensemble Cassandra Duo along with mezzo-soprano,

Karen Leigh-Post.

Carla Auld holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Temple University and has studied with

Julius Baker, Bernard Goldberg, Robert Dick and Gerardo Levy. As an educator herself, she is a

founding member of the NJ Flute Choir Day and was been part of the project's coaching team

from 1995-2008. She also maintains a private studio in her home.

Guitarist, Ana María Rosado has concertized extensively in the United States, Europe, Latin

America and the Far East. A dynamic performer of contemporary and classical music, the

Puerto Rican artist has a growing number of works written for her by prominent composers.

Her solo compact disc on the Albany Records label, “We’ve got (poly)rhythm”, has been

critically acclaimed and her interpretations praised for “each cunningly placed note, chord

and expression mark.” [Classical Guitar, U.K.] Her second solo CD, independently released on

CDBaby.com: “Salsa and other beats” (2010) has been hailed as exquisite by discerning listen-

ers.

As an Artistic Ambassador for the USIA, she toured Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador,

Honduras, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. Of these performances, critics commented that

"[Rosado] is especially gifted in transmitting traditional and folk essences through her guitar.

She possesses technique and expository elegance in her musical articulations..." [La Nación,

Buenos Aires].

Ms. Rosado currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music and Guitar Coordinator at the

New Jersey City University. She holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts in Guitar Performance from

the Stony Brook University. Other studies include Professional Studies at the Manhattan

School of Music in NYC and towards the Diplôme d’Execution at the Ecole Normale de

Musique in Paris, and degrees from the University of Paris VIII and the University of Puerto

Rico. She has studied guitar with Juan Sorroche, Alberto Ponce, Sharon Isbin and Jerry

Willard, and in master classes with Andrés Segovia and Manuel Barrueco.
