INSTRUCTIONS FOR USEPreparation of the skinBefore using the product, make sure that the skin is dry, perfectly clean and free from grease or cream. Do not apply any cream or body milk before shaving.

Exfoliating the skin once or twice a week helps to maintain healthy and fresh skin, but it also helps to:• Prevent hairs from growing under the skin, resulting in in-grown hairs• Remove dead skin cells and refine the texture of your skin, resulting in a closer shave• Prepare your skin to help it absorb skin care products.

We recommend exfoliating ideally the day before, as well as just before epilating. This will help straighten the hair and make it easier to remove. Avoid exfoliating just after epilating. Having a warm shower or bath before and during use will also help to soften the hair.

ChargingThis epilator is so easy to use, but before you do anything you must take your time to charge the unit for 16 hours before its first use. 1. Ensure the epilator is switched off. 2. Plug the adaptor into the base of the epilator. And then plug the adaptor into a

suitable power outlet. 3. The charging LED indicator light will illuminate red and blink to indicate that it is

correctly plugged in and charging. 4. Allow the epilator to stay on charge for 16 hours. A full charge will provide

approximately 40 minutes use. Subsequent charges should be 120 minutes thanks to the quick charge function. NOTE - Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 charging/ discharging cycles.

5. Once the epilator is charged, the charging LED indicator light will become green. Once fully charged, unplug the adaptor from the power outlet.

6. Although there is no risk of over-charging, it is advisable to unplug the power adaptor after a maximum of 24 hours. This will help prolong the battery life.

7. The epilator is now ready for use.

In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the appliance has to be fully discharged every 3 months approximately. Then recharge the appliance to full capacity, again for 16 hours.

Before UseAlways inspect the appliance before use to ensure that that epilator is free from hair, debris, etc and is running smoothly. • Do not epilate on open wounds, cuts, burns, warts, moles, on sunburned skin or

varicose veins.• Do not use it if you suffer from skin irritations or infections, such as psoriasis or eczema

of the legs. If at all unsure always consult your doctor before use.• Do not use for removing hair from your face, head, chest, eyebrows, eyelashes or

genitals, unless you have the correct attachment head to do so. This appliance can be used on the legs, arms, underarms and bikini line.

• Carefully check the tweezer before each use for signs of damage. V-Capture Technology + Advanced Duo HeadsThe Duo 710 Cordless Epilator has been designed to make the removal of unwanted hair as efficient, gentle and easy as possible, allowing for 2x faster + 2x more effective hair removal than a standard single head epilator. The dual epilation heads + 60 V-shaped tweezers work in unison to efficiently remove the maximum amount of hair, in just one pass. Dual epilation heads designed with reverse rotation technology turn in opposite directions to stimulate skin, reduce sensitivity of the plucking sensation & provide optimal coverage for enhanced skin softness, even after 4 weeks. V-Capture Technology with 60 V-shaped tweezers provide optimal pressure to quickly & gently remove hair without breakage, even at the shortest length, allowing you to remove hair as short as 0.5mm, as well as flat lying hairs. As the hair that re-grows is fine and soft, there will be no more stubble.

Wet or Dry Epilation The Duo 710 Cordless Epilator can be used wet or dry. • In the bath – for maximum comfort, start your epilation a few minutes after relaxing into

a warm bath. The heat will cause your skin pores to dilate, making hair removal easier. • In the shower – for good epilation in the shower, make sure your skin is thoroughly wet • On dry skin – you can use the epilator out of the bath or shower. Prior to use, ensure skin

is free from grease or cream and remove all traces of oil or moisturizer from your skin.

Epilation TipsAll methods of hair removal at the root can lead to in-grown hairs and irritation (e.g itching, discomfort, redness) depending on the condition of the skin and hair. This is a normal reaction and should quickly disappear, but may be stronger when you are removing hair at the root for the first time, or if you have sensitive skin. If, after 36 hours the skin still shows irritation, we recommend that your consult your doctor. In general, the skin reaction and the sensation of pain from plucking will diminish with repeated epilation. In some cases, inflammation of the skin could occur when bacteria penetrates the skin. Thorough cleaning of the epilation head before each use will minimize the risk of infection. If you have any doubts using this appliance, consult your doctor prior to use.

Page 8: Duo 710 - Kogan.com

• Epilation is easier and more comfortable when the hair is at the optimum length of 2mm to 5mm. If hair is longer than 1cm, either trim with scissors before use or shave first and then epilate the shorter re-growing hairs after 1 or 2 weeks.

• When epilating for the first time it is advisable to epilate in the evening, so that any possible redness can disappear overnight. To relax the skin, apply a cooling moisturizer after epilation.

• Fine hair which re-grows might not grow up to the skin surface. Regular exfoliation can help prevent in-grown hairs (see Preparation of the Skin for more info).

• Always work with both hands: carefully stretch the skin and hold the skin taut while moving the appliance with the other. Holding the skin taut will help to avoid pinching.

• Move the epilator against the direction of hair growth. Do not use circular movements. • Hair can grow in different directions, so it may be helpful to guide the appliance in

different directions to achieve optimum results. • Hold the appliance at a 90 degree angle to the surface of the skin of where hair is to

be removed. • Do not apply pressure. If too much pressure is applied the appliance may slow down. • Always keep both massage rollers in contact with the skin to help soothe the skin while

epilating.

Epilation of your legs• Turn the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF switch once for speed I or twice for speed II. • Hold the appliance at a 90 degree angle (see Fig. 1). • Always work with both hands: carefully stretch the skin and hold the skin taut while

moving the appliance with the other (see Fig.2). Move the epilator against the direction of hair growth. Do not use circular movements (see Fig.3).

• Slowly move the epilator, while pressing down lightly. Careful not to press the appliance down too hard against your skin; it might slow down the appliance and be less effective.

• Epilate the legs from the lower leg in an upward direction. When epilating behind the knee, keep the leg stretched out straight.

• Apply a cooling moisturizer to legs after epilation.

Epilation of sensitive areasPlease be aware that especially at the beginning, these areas can be sensitive to pain. With repeated use the pain sensation will diminish. For more comfort, ensure that the hair is at the optimum length of 2mm to 5mm. Before epilating, thoroughly clean the area to remove residue (like deodorant), then carefully dab dry with a towel. When epilating the underarm, keep your arm raised so that the skin is stretched and guide the appliance in different directions. The sensitive area cap reduces the number of tweezers so that you can remove hair more smoothly and with greater precision from sensitive areas such as the bikini line and underarms. • Remove the dual epilation head cover and replace with the sensitive area cap (see Fig. 4).• Turn the appliance on by pressing once for speed 1. We recommend using speed 1 as it

will give you greater control. • To remove hair from your underarms, move the appliance using upwards motion, than

a second time using downwards motion. • To remove hair from your bikini line, carefully stretch the skin and move the appliance

against the direction of hair growth. • As skin may be more sensitive following epilation, avoid using irritating substances such

as deodorant with alcohol.

Shaving Use the foil shaver attachment to pre-shave hair that is longer than 1cm and for a nick-free, silky-smooth finish post epilation. • Attach the shaving head and turn the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF switch once

for speed I or twice for speed II. • Always keep the shaver perpendicular to the surface to be shaved. • Always work with both hands: stretch the skin with one hand and move the appliance

with the other hand.• Slowly move the shaver, exerting light pressure. As a precaution, the operation of the

appliance may slow down substantially, if the machine is pressed too hard against the skin.

Do not apply too much pressure to avoid causing irritation to the skin.Do not apply any perfume or deodorant for 24 hours after shaving.

Bikini Area TrimmingThe Duo 710 Cordless Epilator has 2 bikini comb guides (3mm and 6mm) to style the bikini area by making the desired adjustment to the hair length. Ideal for pre-trimming before epilating. • Attach the desired cutting comb guide onto the top of the foil shaver head (see Fig. 5).• Turn the appliance on by pressing the button once for speed I or twice for speed II.• Hold the appliance at a slight angle to the skin and move slowly against the direction

of hair growth (see Fig. 6).

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE • Make sure the appliance is in the OFF position before cleaning your epilator.• Carefully remove the protective cover or the sensitive area cap from the epilation head

and run the cleaning brush between the tweezers after each use (see Fig. 7). • Regularly disinfect the tweezers head by dipping the tips of the cleaning brush in

alcohol. • For maximum hygiene, the epilation head can be removed and easily rinsed under

running water. To remove the epilation head, press the button on the back of the appliance (see Fig. 8).

• If the body of the appliance needs to be cleaned, use a damp cloth with soft detergent. • Ensure all parts are completely dry before putting them back together and plugging in

the appliance to charge. • Once dried, carefully place the protective cap on.

CAUTION• Rinse the foil shaver under running water or in a sink. Do not use hot water. Use only

warm or cold water.• After wet cleaning, allow the shaver foil to air-dry. Do not dry the foil area. Let the

shaving head air-dry.• When shaking off excess water, hold the main unit firmly to prevent releasing the head

assembly or dropping the units.• Do not use a dryer or heater to dry the shaver. This may result in malfunction or damage

to the shaver.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUSH ON THE FOILS, THEY ARE DELICATE AND CAN EASILY BE DAMAGED.
