What is the main idea of the project?

Duckling Race – it is well known race world wide, created to raise funds for social projects;

Duckling can be purchased by anyone for a symbolic price. Thus, duckling owner becomes a part of social project;

Duckling race is a fun festival for the whole family. During event there are held live entertainment shows, sweepstakes, games and other activities for children. Fastest duckling rejoices their hosts with won prizes;

In Lithuania duckling race for eight year’s it is held by VIlnius Rotaract Club

How project will be held in 2012 ?

Vilnius Rotaract Club passionate charity event “Duckling Race 2012” traditionally will be held in June 10 (Sunday), at entertainment complex “Belmontas”, Vilnius

Rubber ducks will be gathered to one place for the eight time and released to swim in Vilnelė river. This year we expect that number of ducklings will reach 500 .

Fastest ducklings owners will receive valuable prizes;

Traditionally, the event is not only  race. It is families event with special entertainment, dancing and competitions.

Duckling can be purchased for a symbolic price (50 Lt per one.) these ways:

Why do we need sponsors?

The event will fundraise money for project “Future in My Hands”. This project aims to develop young children’s leadership and communication skills.

Each of your purchased duckling will help a young person to discover right path in his life, gain more confidence and  build a successful, happy  life;

You will remain indifferent to those who need your encouragement, advice and assistance;

By participating in ,,Ducklings Race 2012“ you will contribute to a beautiful and meaningful event for each family in trying to teach their children not to be indifferent.

We encourage you to be a part of this beautiful event and become a “Ducklings Race 2012” sponsor.

Become ducklings racing sponsor by setting up a prize or purchasing a large number of ducklings.

Who will use raised money?

Raised money will be used for project “Future in My Hands”, which aims to develop real life skills to improve children’s social and behavioral skills.

During the project we will organize discussions with well known people. Children will be taught and encouraged to be responsible creators of their life and successful members of society.

Children will participate in various events and trips. We will seek to show right example how to develop healthy life style, achieve goals, think out of the box.

What is the Rotaract Club?

Vilnius Rotaract Club is 15 years ago created an open, publicly accessible organization consisting of young, energetic and creative people.

We strive to help those who most need our help, organize a variety of charities, support or assist projects, and collaborate with other organizations. Closer cooperation and interaction takes place with other Rotaract clubs in Lithuania and abroad. As well we are close with senior "brothers" - Rotary clubs in Lithuania.
