seers of the pipe water works and your committeehaving maturely examined into the contents thereoffind that the said Benjamin Daniel being old and in-firm was unable to pay that attention to the duty of hisoffice which it required, and that in consequence ofsome of your committee applying to him, he resigned = ~ B .his employment in hopes that some provision would bemade for him, your committee therefore beg leave torecommend that the said Benjamin Daniel shall beallowed 20, per annum, the same to be commenced AllDuit7'from the 19th day of January, 1776, being the day ofhis resignation, the same to be in full of any claimor demand whatsover which he has against the city forrepairs of his house in the pipe water yard.
